So so so happy today....hehe words cant describe...thank God for it =p. Just met the right people when i went back to office today =p. Just a few minutes chit chat, all the months of problem solved, no matter how tough the engineering problem is. haha think contacts is very important. Schools should have more chit chat point , think thats why schools and uni overseas can get work done so fast and they dont need to slog so hard in books, cos they interact so much during their free time and information just passed to each other so fast rather looking in tonnes of books. I am not saying that we should not do that, in fact we should to get the basic foundation right and to verify what other has said. In fact, books are records of what people had found out in a formal way. Before paper are found, think things are communicated through words of mouth too.

So in conslusion, education should give student more time for interaction and not mugging in books =p. And all the students here say "HURRAY". =p.

Chat with one guy from CMU , cool man, to get to know the things they are into there...think my uni still have a long way to go. I am jealous, impressed =p. Think i really laughed at my response now to a scholarship interview last time on why i choose local uni instead of oversea uni. My naive answer of saying that education here and overseas are NO different =p. But still thank God that i am in local uni =p. Also mange to understand why education in local is as such though i hope it to be otherwise.

Anyway was so happy that i put away my work for time being to celebrate a happy long weekend by blogging first...haha....

Really thank God for the good news all these while while i am struggling through my project. Have been having splitting headache with my project for past few days moreover down with flu =(. Always thought of giving up on my project, moreover, my friend also ask me some "difficult" chrisitianity questions and trying to grapple with it and the resurrection. Like what paul has say, if Christ has not resurrected, we really believe in vain.

Despite a lot of thing still need to be done tonight..hehe might not sleep liao...but thank God for the good news which really help me to move on. First, Wei Lit got admitted to NUS for master...haha a friend of mine who has gone through "thick and thin" in my NUS study life. Really hope that beside encouraging one another in our research work, lets us also encourage one another in our walk with the Lord and keep one another in check if we makes our work our idols...which might be possible since we all can go crazy and engross in research =p.
Thanks God for 2 FYP students who are interested in such tough projects...now at least with wei lit coming in, we will like to ensure that the fyp students have a fun time learning and researching in the lab and can share knowledge and pushing the project to a greater height. Thank God for my sup to support in the prosposal for volunteer in project =p. Also thank God that some of my ex students are interested in helping out in projects...but so sorry to them that currently this proposal is meant for undergraduates ....i still have no time to implement it to students outside uni....but still hope to rope them in =p.

Moreover, going to be an uncle in 3 months time...hehe...seems like i am getting older liao ...haha. Quite excited for myself and family when my sis going to give birth to a baby. Humm is it boy or girl huh?

A lot of things will be happening in the months to come, pray that i will not be "troubled" by all these things and forgotten about God , in which i have the tendency to. Pray that i will be discipline in my walk with God and i will find rest in Him despite all the "commontion" happening around me. By right, this master suppose to be my physical and more important my spiritual sabbatical....hopefully i wont forget that and at the end of the day, becomes so exhuasted with my project.

My first plane

Some pics of my newly bought plane.....=p. My boss asked me just to buy any place and start flying just to have a feel of it and thus can appreciate my project better...hehe EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING =p....
This is the first ever plane which i bought and not design by myself. Suppose to be able to fly once assembled but me hand itchy, go and modify the engine to a electric motor....humm according to specs can work but when u look at a motor...its just like a small boy pulling a lorry. Now keeping my finger cross and really hope that motor is good enough...if not....humm i dont dare to think of it though my boss "give" me the plane. But he said once i learnt how to fly, go and teach him....humm, what would he say if i change the engine back to combustion one....oops...now really must make it work.

Will update my first flight again...and hopefully i can modify the engine soon...now trying to think of designing the new mount for the engine.

Just trying to surface before submerging again for quite some time.

Was in no mood to blog for the past weeks...cos busy thinking of plans for my projects. A lot of things need to consider...cos think i am a perfectionist =p. When my boss ask me to search for some device, sometime i will literally search till "the end of the world" ...sometimes if can "the end of universe" to cover every ground and make sure there is no loopholes in it.

Thanks God that learnt from it liao...so now life slight better..=p. Trying to do my best in searching and leave with whatever imperfection it may be and if one day someone come along and tell me a better solution, will just humbly accept the suggestion and learn from it =p.

Now finally got a office in my company ..with all the IA students from NUS. Initally quite reluntant to go back cos i will lose my freedom of roaming around in NUS or home or any place that i can do my work. But today its my 3rd day there, enjoy it as i get to know more people...and enjoying the accompanying of the IA students there, so much better than being alone in my lab =p. Get to share ideas and things really get done faster..information sharing =p. Think thats why my boss ask me to go to office =p. Really like this working style ...so that will have a gentler learning curve. But still got a lot to learn =p

Got submitted a proposal to my sup to initiate some ideas in the lab..trying to raise awareness and interest in UAV project. I was saddened and fustrated since my undergraduate days about certain things being done and school was just based on grades,grades and more grades. No life for students, no fun in learning for them, so pragmatic, miss those students who are capable but yet cant do well in exam (humm dont know why..good example is myself vs Wei Lit =p...he is so much better than myself and taught me and yet exam result turn out the other way...must be my handwriting too "nice" that they cant understand and think its a genius work..so must be right without seeing my answer) . Ever since my teaching experience in PRCS, now trying to revive the joy of learning among undergraduates, giving people who are genuinely interested in airplane a chance to work with projects, expose them to overseas competition, and bringing UAV project to a greater height by the systems proposed. But hopefully by God's grace and providence, that wei lit can come back and help me to fulfill it...as i am totally exhausted liao and got so many things need to be done....gots ideas but cant implement...need Volunteers for project too....Just to emphasise.... ITS VOLUNTEER who truly has a passion for planes, i dont want students to work for credits nor for any tangible incentives....I believe that if you have the passion for something, you will just do it. The intangible incentives are something that will last..hehe at least for this life. There might be tangible incentives such as going for competition in US and others. Its quite sad to know that we do something just for the sake of doing something but not for the love of it. Grades are NEVER a pre-requsites to volunteer in the project, just need a love for it and willing to learn and share in knowledge, the door is always open.

Seems like quite a long blog ..hehe no choice lah, hiding in the ground for so long, so must get the chance to write more =p. Humm not sure when will i blog again. Hope this time round will not be too long.

Wow...times really flies when one is dead =p..haha brain cell dead...use too much liao. More than 13 days did blog liao, cos was busy planning and using too much brain to think of project and stuff need to be done, cos it concerns the fate of 5 people...haha.

Still in the midst of doing it and should be done soon and need it for meeting next tue. Hopefully will be better by then. So now just to reassure that i am still kicking alive, rose from my "grave" and try to blog a bit and then need to dive into my works =p

Oh tomorrow will be a day of a more committed sat liao. Cos tomorrow will be my official first day as a OCT in 14th BB singapore comapny as an awards officer. This also give me a lot of thinking and planning to be done too. Still trying to learn from others and especially CC =p. Realise how easy to just so engross in awards and forgotten the MISSIONS of awards officer =p and also touching the lives of the boys =p. Need to engrave it in my heart...=p...but i wrote it in the BB senior programme book liao....need to look at it every time b4 going for BB less i forget what i there for =p. Hope i have a fun time there too and be a living testimony for Christ.

Tomorrow i also got IPPT...hope i can get silver...also think going back to TJC for open house..=p..

Its really comforting and having a feeling of satisfaction when u know that your ex students still remember you =p. Its really sweet for a student to sms me today and she told me she look high and low for my hp no to keep in contact. Also receive a few appreciating calls and sms from another group of students who asked me out to study with them during exams. Although didnt help much, really hope that they dont study at last minute. Knowing that they are young and impressonable at this stage, hope i can live my live in par excellence (hehe for those who heard P. Chris sermon...) to be a good influence to their lives =p

Quite confused with all the things that i have been doing for my projects...sometimes seems so near and yet are times...dont know where i am heading. But thank God that today when to see my sup, and he explain to me and help me to refocus and now i see THE BIG PICURE!! So now trying to digest this big pics and then break the project to small and managable ones for this year FYP students....now hoping to get some flash out to "entice" them to join my group and hope i can collaborate well and give them the big pics and also to spur them on. I am really excited about this project but i can see tough roads ahead...披荆斩棘 =p...hopefully b4 the fyp sutdents coming in, i will get everything ready for them and ready to guide them through..one thing for sure: IF they die, I will die double by thrice =p...so must really guide them through. Hehe now a student upon seeing my nick in msn willing to help me in the flash...thanks man =p

Also received a call from student that he was so happy with his math exam just now as he can do most questions....knowing that since young he didnt do well for maths. But i wasnt too happy as i know he study at the last minute and didnt put in good enough effort (for my standard =p). I hope that this incident wont send him the wrong signal but hope that he will find more interest in math and be consistent in his practices. All the best for your Maths Paper 2.

Tutoring MOM....

Just received a phone from my ex lecturer that i was recommended by my sup to tutor a module for next semester..MOM : Mechanics of Machines. Really thank God for His providence and can earn some extra $$. But hope that I will teach well and hopefully be a good influence to the students too =p. Although not really comfortable teaching "adults". Think i will get my old tutorial and start to prepare answer and some notes for them =p. Since i am helping my ex-lecturer with the class, can ask her if i am not sure since she taught me in that subject too and i did very well =p cos she taught me well too =p.

But today i almost spent the whole day trying to solve a truss problem with using the software as the software gave me very very wierd result and now i still stuck. Oops although this problem is an advance module of MOM, i think i better start revising.

Managed to finish half of what i set off to do...think once my engine warm up (better be fast) will have to catch up the lost time.

Have not really revise for my Japanese lesson later.....

My last paycheck

Got my last pay check from PH...thanks people for processing my paycheck so efficiently despite that i had left...streams of memory of those wonderful time working in PH just slowly flooded me...moreover with the free time after work =p, although pay is survivable but still more than what i currently drawing for internship.

Since now i in internship, so just have to make full use of it. Haiz was so "busy" last few days as in brain busy...trying to think and round up what i had done over the past 3 weeks and to move forward in the new objective...this already take up most of my time. Moreover, also hope to plan what to do, what subject to take and what enrichment course to take so as to better serve in my current position...moreover not to forget...this is suppose to be my sabbatical ... trying to align my life goals in the correct perspective...also hope to study God's Words deeper which is now so far away from it =(

I am to buck up though....now students exam starting...hopefully will be more free now..cos just came back from discussion with students....not sure i did help them or not...i hope i did and also hope that i can also guide them in moulding in their character too by God's strength. Hopefully soon my sat will be free and then can spend time in BB....humm think i should fill up the BOTC form soon =p.

"You can see a smile over a distance..." does this thing sound familar....some telecom advertisement lah....no need 3G, "2G" already good enough....got any overseas call from Jiwei, thought he is back liao cos the voice was so clear....we chat about the weather...literally yes..cos he was analysing singapore weather over there and seeing the clouds movement, and predict that there might be showers in the night...humm till now still dont have...maybe later..

Had a meeting with company sup today and things changes again...no longer doing my current project and going to switch again. But really thank God cos the changes is acutally good for me and in fact it changes back to where we started and which is related to what i wanted to do in masters....haha life is really full of running in circles...thats reminds me of my conversation with SK...=p. So for the next 2 weeks will be literature review and search ...hopefully can built up my knowledge and resources in the meantime for company and my masters =p.

Watch "The kingdom of heaven" with barney and JC...a very nice show..thought bloody and its really heavy hearted when seeing so many died and those merciless killing resulted from men self centredness. Think the whole crusade was centred around the misconception of "God's Will". Maybe it started off with a "good intention"? Or was it not? But anyway the outcome seems to be more of feeding man's own greed and his own ideals. 2 quotes catch my attention: "You should do a little evil now for the sake of a greater good in the future"; "The kingdom of heaven is here (head) and here (heart)" hahah can quite blow the mind hor...but dont think its biblical =p but just that its catches my attention.

Humm hope to do a quick recap of what i have done over the past 3 weeks and arrange my stuff b4 i move on in the new direction for project....also quite missed the days in PH; cos work is really from 8.30 to 6 and after work is my own free time..moreover in work also learn new things, of course one can expect lesser pay lah. Thats the ideal kind of job.

Highly non linear equation & my package...

The title doesnt suggest that my package is governed by an highly non linear equation...the 2 events are independent =p.

So fun tracking my package which i ordered from US through UPS...just key in the track number and i know where it is...hehe its just clear the singapore custom and on the way to my house ...i think should receive it latest by tomorrow.

Just finish deriving one non linear equation which governs the flight path of my design so that it can perform according to its requirement. Didnt expect that till i derive and crack my head how to solve...dont think can solve it analytically so should be doing it numerically by dumping lots of numbers and then get the best fit graph and see the relationship of the variables. Ok think need 2 more governing equations and should be able to plot them in excel and then do a design analysis =p.

Hopefully this time i am rite =p. But heard that my internship scope will change again...haiz....think the objective of my internship is highly non linear too....think need to change my brain to an higher order one so that can track the non linear objective....haha sounds chim rite =p ...humm another question, will higher order system result in more unstable system...must do a stability analysis...hehe for my brain...ok going for lunch liao...think of going arts...nice scenery facing the sea...

Thought that can relax today since its a holiday...but just the opposite....was super busy and have only little time to do my own stuff.

Started off the day with a call from cousin about assembling computer...humm since 7 years ago i stopped assembling one...and i can only assemble a computer which uses MMX technology...think i a computer historian liao =p. But today learn quite a lot from my student Sean and 2 strangers and i really mean strangers who are student from TP. They happen to sit in my uncle taxi and they volunteer to assemble one for my cousin...humm initally was quite suspicious since i was going with my cousin to get the comp too....but whatever they say just make sense and they are sincere abt it...humm maybe i just too suspicious lah...and its really great to know such people and they really put their knowledge into good uses....humm poly student are different hor...hehe think CC will raise his legs to agree.

Thats goes my afternoon and when i reach home, tried to do some of my design stuff and then receive a msn from student that they want to meet me up for revision...haiz thought they cancel liao...and wanted to change to tomorrow...but later agree liao. So went for a jog at 530 first b4 going and its super super hot...but manage to run 8 rounds in stadium =p. Oh ya...b4 going for run, have a tele-lesson from yarong about chinese history...=p...manage to understand from his explanation why emperor was also known as 九五之尊。 haha direct translation is..head of nine-five...haha barney suggested that the emperor only works from nine to five...haha good try...whereas i thought nine and five represent some special animal in the lengend..hehe got idea from "风云".

And my evening just past so fast and its 9 plus b4 i knew it...initally even tell my students that the latest i can stay is 830...haiz....very busy weekend.....thought can even go to beach to idle and do my own stuff and reading.

Next few days might be busy meeting students cos of their exam...but hope can one shot meet all and on one day...if not i going to tired myself out...

Went down to visit BTPC with barney, a very small congregation but a very friendly one too. Was quite surprised by the small size but despite all these, can see the hard work that P. AOng is putting over there and also still preaching faithfully God's Word =p. Think cos of the small size, newcomers are very obvious over there as everyone knows everyone...and they took the initiative to chat with newcomers =p.

Quite a slack day as the next day is a holiday, but manage to finish reading my 武侠小说. Tomorrow, has to do some work, and maybe go for running or swimming...humm might even need to meet up with some students..haiz..see got time or not cos quite tight as i didnt plan for that.

Oh btw happy labour day...labour day is a public holiday, thats is an oxymoron...think to change it to Not Labour Day.

Also, dont know what to blog this few days....too much thing on my mind....but think SK will ask me to list them down in blog and then easier to think and know my next course of action...hehe maybe for this time round i will give that option a miss....

Still need to finish off my system design...though need to redo again but thankfully my sup leads me through and think should get it rite this time round =p.....quite stressful but a good learning experience....

Now also need to plan out my time so that my sat will be free so that i can commit myself to the BB activites...dont wish to agree to people and then later being tied down by other work, cos think by committing to BB activites is not just about the activites but the boys themselves. That would means that my weekdays will be very very busy...have to juggle between my work/study, tuition?, japanese lesson, diving?, cell group, still have not including friends and family =p.......thank God that got to have my headstart in project first so that when my semester starts, i can adjust to the even busier pace...hehe think might even stay over night in lab...weilit onz or not...haha...must have scared him out of helping me in my project =p.

Humm...tomorrow going to visit Bethany Trinity Presb. Church =p

Oh btw also hope to thank a couple in church for their time and labour all this while....think their hard work are not in vain as we can see from the fruits of their labour. Although quite sad about their leave from "duties", hope that we can keep them in prayer and support them in whatever we can in the meantime. Humm...also learn some lessons upon reflection, hope to put it into practice too by the strength of God

Getting busier liao, now rushing system design to be discussed tomorrow (humm..today) afternoon. Going to be done soon, maybe should go and sleep first and finish the last bit in the morning. But must really thanks my sup and also Geok Hian for helping me, if not i will be wasting my whole afternoon and night doing the wrong things..hehe initally thought my sup wants a control diagram, only happen to speak to GH then realise that he wants a system design and is very different from the former =(.

Still got a lot of things to do, but lucky this coming week got long weekend. Still got japanese to revise, need to get some system up for project and get the camera from US and think CC is going to test me on the BB stuff =p. Think will also need to meet some students on sat...think thats go my long weekend...so cant go Batam with JC and friends lah....unless its a totally idle trip which i dont think so =p.

Better stop here..cos quite tired especially after a almost 2 hours games of badminton cos only 4-6 of us playing. Oh btw will be getting my intenship pay soon =p although might be a bit lesser than temp job but think can go for diving =p.

Now everyday, come home quite tired and still need to do some stuff. Almost no time to blog liao. About to finish my proposal for my selection of equipment, just need some touching up and also some email from supplier the details.

Yesterday, didnt went to lab but do my work somewhere else...wanted to do it at EA block but they go and seal all the LAN cable port =(. So manage to find one in E4..phew and think its a good place for me to do work and find inspiration/motivation to do work...can work quite fast there. When in the evening, go to lab, dont know why, just do a bit, fall asleep liao. Wanted to do my work at the art canteen with nice view and quite windy, but no LAN port leh...humm should i reconfigure my connection to wireless =p...but going to my company soon.

Was quite busy during last weekend that didnt go on net at all. Mainly was meeting up with friends, some who have not seen for quite some time, and also attending the BB enrolment. Managed to do my japanese homework and revise a bit during the time "break" in between while meeting friends =p.

Project slightly on the move liao, now trying to get my proposal for buying equipment up but have to do it professionally like an engineer =p. Today another busy day, cos got japanese till quite late in the evening. ...ok need to go for my lunch liao

Sorry not trying to be vulgar...but its really a SHIT. When on way back from PAF, was walking up stairs back home, in the stair landing, there lies.....yucks....yes its shit! Its keep appearing in the same place since dont know when and even when the cleaner cleans it every morning. Dont know whose the IT that do business there and must be same spot...think must put CCTV to see....

Was a good day (humm should be yesterday)..although in the morning was quite stress in getting some things done. But my sup came along and spoke to me. Was explaining something to me and i understand..but dont know why got mental block and give him a "counter example." Was fustrated how come my example contridicts his explanation but at the same time i agree with his explanation. Only when he draws the graph, then i suddenly realised...i was wrong all the while...reason being i used my logic common sense to come out with question which will never exist in real life. Same as the mental block which i had last time with all the Newton laws......haha...so now solve a BIG question. He also give some guidance to my sensors and hopefully by next week everything will start going liao....oh afternoon got very hot...no wind, so got back to lab and enjoy the aircon ...hehe but at the same time open the door too.....humm a bit wasting of energy hor....but aircon switch to 28 degree C.

Was leading the songs...but was those old songs and think giving Wen Jun a hard time. Didnt practise with him before and give me the wrong midi ...so sorry. But thank God, to me things went well, and he manage to play the guitar despite my awkward singing ..... Thanks P.David and Meng Hwee too for helping me with the tune and starting the songs =p. Really appreciate. One of the worst thing that happen, didnt know that there is a bridge for "God will make a way" cos i was using the online lyrics. And was singing halfway and saw the bridge, i was totally stunned and pheww everyone know how to sing ...hehe if not i will just stop there and stunned.

Was quite a good dicussion for BS..although the context for discussion should be using James 3 instead of Matthew 12. But its was lynette first time leading BS.

Have supper with Wen Jun and Daniel and discussed quite a few stuff. Pray that God will lead us through and help us to be firmly grounded in the fundament truth and not sway away from it despite the desire to know more of other things which might not be essential to the basic foundation of our faith.

Today will be a pack day...morning going for BB POP and then tution and then meeting with SL to dicuss some of his questions and then meet up for yarong birthday dinner...and thats will be the whole sat liao =p.

If u remember those cartoons such as ghost buster where they use a device to track the "ghost" or dragon balls where they use a special goggle to find people with strong "energy". The nearer they are to such people humm...or spirit..the louder the device beep....think u now use similar device and put near my brain...it would explode!!!!

Saturated liao..from all my finding for sensors....but was very excited too as i find new things on the web....but it also scared me cos they are still researching the sensors i am using and some just published journal last year for it....i think i better search some more...hopefully find something that suits my purpose...if not i can change my master to research on the sensors haha cos my current project requires that sensors and this sensors is just like a seed to my project which is a mature tree......oh no....or should i just buy it from them although its exp...but then hor my project requires me to do it at low cost!!!! How to get good and cheap?

Taking a break now...hehe...will speak to my boss later and continue searching....hoping that something drop on me while i am thinking...(emulate Issac Newton )...haha i mean idea not physical stuff....maybe physical stuff also not bad....then can come up with another theory then u will have 1st law of TLO

Scaling a mountain to reach the peak, just to find out that there's another higher mountain in front......thats describe my journey to solve a sensor problem for my project. This part is not even 1/8 of my whole master project =(

Was doing my stuff slowly this morning cos dont know how to proceed and got stuck and try to formulate my questions to ask some IA students working in the company...wow they are really pro...manage to enlighten me regarding the sensors issue..but just to find another big big problem in front of me again. Haiz...need to do some IC circuit design again...and currently only a few company overseas selling it and it cost really exp lor....so does that mean that i going to design and build it....no no....if i do it think they can even award me with another degree in electrical engineering...really thank God for the internship if not i will be doing all this for my masters. Slowly take my time to go back to lab cos need to digest what i had learnt and also thinking of how to proceed from there on...as i need help from expert to scale the next mountain. Mentally exhausted.....think a lot of brain cells died liao...cant imagine when school starts when i have to juggle with my core modules also...

Today was one of the latest that i left the lab for the past 2 weeks...taking a slow walk to bus stop and enjoying the sunset...nice...but a pity no camera. Didnt know that evening in NUS can be so nice too....but where got the time to realise it until u pause and take notice =p

Went to Genki Sushi in YIH for friend's birthday lunch....humm the food ok lah...what to expect when it so cheaper than outside. Wow...YIH change a lot..as in the interior and esp. the canteen..cant recognise.

Just came back not long from badminton with ex-YA friends =p....so its good...1 badminton and at least 1 running per week. Have a time of catching up with each other too. Good that SK, barney and CC are coming back to ASE for the BB enrolment service this sunday...anyone onz for a YA lunch ...haha excluding SK since he got PLT. haha....moreover, someone birthday coming soon rite =p.....so many birthday in april

Had a tired day yesterday....so didnt blog....came back from japanese lesson...and learnt a lot yesterday...new teacher and more students. Think i better start revise and do my homework liao, if not will lag behind even though i have prior knowledge in the language. Humm for yesterday lessons, only 2 "teachers" (1 ex) didnt hand up the homework...haha...oops we thought just need to do at leisure only...didnt know must hand up....this coming one...we better remind one another to hand up. Other schools' students are there. Had a late dinner or should i say supper around 1 plus after discussing the songs with Wen Jun for PAF.

Yesterday, was quite a heavy day for me..not physically....was quite pissed with myself cos did quite a few things which pissed people off...or at least it pissed me off....so i better do some soul searching and repent.....sorry to those involved.....below are the "shall not" which i hope i will persevere...but if i fall due to my weakness, that as friends and fellow christians, you will help me through....hehe not forgetting that by God's strength too so that in all things i do, will honor Him and be loving to others.

I SHALL NOT:

1) be late / complacent about my situation.
2) be proud and i shall not be a hypocrite. (i shall humble myself but still take pride in what i know)
3) intrude other people's personal space.

Today, even quieter than yesterday....almost nobody in this storey. Me still move out to my favorite location and my boss ask me why. Told him that i prefer to do my work outside and he is ok with it =p. Good weather and nice scenery. Hopefully no more majestic performance by the nature today.

Meeting friends at YIH for lunch cos celebrating one of them birthday. Oh, better send Jiwei ecard b4 i go for my lunch....and think the present should reach him by today.

2 casinos will be built here...ok look at the bright side, more jobs are created and tourism will increased =p. Gambling itself MIGHT BE ok....the only thing is addiction to gambling lah...and most often then not, it due to greed...just as money as per se is not the root of all evil but the greed of money....haha in christian perspective...its just the sinfulness of mankind.

Wow just now was watching the array of display and audio by the nature just in front of me. But sitting at my position with a laptop, hp, one of the highest building around, looking to the sea, dont think anyone would enjoy those "spectacular" moment. The lightning was so night and thunder so loud that the wall behind me vibrate and i have to cover my ears to do my work. Now finally understand why people write "claps like thunders"....its really so like =p.

No more listening to radio online...always get streaming prob....now depends on my hp liao =p. Oh btw cant be a graduate tutor cos they need me to at least study for 1 semster first...humm good also...can spend more time on project.

Today no one in lab at all....not even the postgrad..cos think everyone studying for exam...so i decided to take action...haha shift my workplace all the way outside the lab...wow cool man...got the sea view of west coast and no air con =p. Think i am more productive in doing my work this way...hehe and really like my current "workplace" and really thank God for it and putting joy in me in whatever situation i may be in =p. Oh just apply to be graduate tutor for next sem after my sup ask me. Think i have to brush up my stuff if i get accepted.

In about 2 hours time, we will know whether we have casino here...tough decision...of course if put other factors away...with only moral principles its a obvious NO NO. However...the argument can goes on and can argue till the cow come home, there is always the other side of the story...what can we do..except to pray for our leaders to make wise decision.

Going for lunch and also study for japanese later...also need to prepare for songs for this friday PAF.....Going to rain soon

Humm, dont think going for the SOM musical this coming sat since no one going and also weibin not playing for them. Some hiccups....but i still open to going if anyone still wants to go =p.

Got BB Passing out parade on sat, might be going but need to know the time as going to meet up with Seng Loong since he arranged with me weeks before. Still not sure got tuition or not.

But at least, confirm that going to keep evening free for yaorong birthday and currently 4 of us can make it liao....hope to gather answer from the rest soon =p....think the last time we gathered is for the chinese new year....currently suggestion is to go to marina south seafood buffet...hehe think yaorong favorite place =p.

Oh in a few hours time, the leaders of this country is going to announce an important decision....humm sometimes its really tough to be leaders here but pray that may God give our leaders wisdom to decide on issues as God has also allowed such institution to be placed.

Was watching certain show....haiz...must we watch people perform those so call "dangerous" act so that we will give to the charity or do we have to have some gift to entice us so that we will give "generously"? What is the meaning of charity? What message are we sending to the masses about the definition of charity? Of course, one of them clarified that when they did those dangerous act, despite of the difficulties and fear, they have to overcome it and persevere and they understand those struggles and how much more those patients have to go through, much more in their lives. Fair and square, i think this is resonable.....however, i think most of the time, other things the show portrayed really might mislead the public in the wrong meaning of charity....of course i dont deny the fact that some really give out of compassion for the sick and i must really say...working with those children patient once before (although only helping in medical research), let me also understand their struggle too...worse still, one of them passed away at such a young age while i was still in the department.

Was thinking along the line of churches now too....will we do something that we lost the meaning of what we do and why we do certain things such as ministry? Thanks Andrew for the sermon today too, help to give us the correct perspective of why we serve in a Christian community based on Galatians 6:1-10.

Was trying to revise for my japanese lesson for tomorrow.....still struggling a bit =p. Later still have to find some journals for my research tomorrow. Oh btw finally went for a run with barney and dapeng after having "a break" of 2 weeks...humm got badminton on tues...yeah more exercises =p

Thinking of eating the cheesecakes which i bought from Sweet Secret (is that the shop??) yesterday...looks nice....no one eating but too full after lunch..so maybe eat it before i go out to meet pastor david and barney and others later =p.

Watch "wind and cloud" till quite late at night....so today sleep till 12 as i have no tuition too....finished watching last epsiode of it and quite "sad" ending where friends go on seperate ways and many people died just because of some "idiots" who wants to be No. 1. Why do we always strive to be the most powerful and want everything under the sky? Isnt being a commoner also a very fortunate thing? Thats reminds me of a song written and sung by a singapore song write/singer quite sometimes ago....its call "xiao ren wu de xin sheng" (the heartbeat of a commoner....haha have i interpret it correctly). humm think will get over with the show sad emotion in quite a while time....thankfully today its a sunny day =p....if not raining..."sadness on top add sadness".

Haiz....time really flies..its been 1 week since i left my previous temp job in P House. Was having dinner with siyong just now and chat about this job that he introduced to me. About the interesting job, the nice environment and also best of all, dont need to bring work hom =p. Do i still miss the place....yup i think so ......

Oh btw, chat with my ex student in msn today, and found out that his mum actually is a manager of the cafe in P House...haha what a small world...haiz should have known it earlier, then can every day eat free in the cafe...haha .... humm not sure the cafe is still there or not...cos heard some news before i left......

didnt blog yesterday cos didnt bring laptop home, moreover tution till night, so have an early night rest....also good lah.

Met with my prof yesterday, it was really good and assuring to hear words from him. I must say after being his student for 4 years, he really takes good care of his students =p. I told him my concern about the changing objective, but at the end, he just told me that what he is concern is that i complete my master thesis and also highlight to me the criteria for graduation and ask me what i like to do and we will work towards that and i can set what project objective i want. What he wants to see is that i can graduate within 2 years and then move on in my career =p. Thanks Prof.

After seeing him, went to perform some experiment. Thought that i got good results that i can analysis, but after speaking to friends in lab, realise that i have a lot of unknown errors in my experiment. Was so stress thinking how to eliminate but after talking to my prof ....wah lah...so now know how to go around it...hehe somethimes my thinking is so straight and rigid. Btw speaking abt my prof, i must say he has influenced how i taught my students in school too, the way how to look at problems, analyse and break them down and use basic principle to solve. It quite a pity that during my uni days, a lot of my school mates when hear of my prof's module, exams or project, they will "run away" from his modules / project...hehe maybe run is an understatement. Cos many students dont use to the way he solve problem and looking at things in a different perspective, but when one change his/her rigid mindset, will realise how easy his questions are =p But anyway, no matter what, every year still got a few die hard fans for his project although his project is one of the challenging...btw most of his students are of high calibre in one way or another...hehe does that include me =p. Nevertheless, he is a "hand-on" sup, will never leave his student in lurch, but despite the difficulty of the project, he will always be there to help his student and guide them and wants them to do well not for his own sake but for his students sake. Till now, i think most of us didnt meet his project requirements and "failed" but we do learnt a lot in the process of failing and crashing a lot of models platform. He didnt "condemn" us but helping us to see how hard it is to implement what we learn in theory and apply them in real life. And these will be part and parcel of our working life. The moral of the story is "dont talk war on paper lah"....anyone can also do that. That is why i approached him to be my sup for master as i know i will have to do implementation =p.

Met up with li kiat and siyong for dinner since we all are working near nus. have a good chat though and catching up at holland v. Quite a nice place and also $$$.

Focus on my goals and persevere.....

yesterday got news from wei lit that he got an interview for his MSc. Really hope he can come to nus soon.....cos now i feel really a bit down. Today only me and an undergraduate in the lab =( .....very quiet....now listen to Consider Christ album and cant really listen to online radio as it keeps shutting down...maybe should use my hp radio....anyway finish my first stage of experiment and later going to src and test the 2nd one =p.

Now must keep my focus of why i go for masters so that i can persevere on....i should spent the time during my master well....as i hope to have my "sabbatical" for both my mental and spiritual and also to decide what to do next... of course not forgetting that this project(as in the implementation) is something i like too =p.

oh btw today when i went to my intern company, met my sup with another colleague who is my secondary school mate...dont really know him but heard of him b4, think is jiechao classmate...

Ok, now need to put my thoughts into words so that i can defend what i want to do for my masters...moreover, i dont mind doing more stuff...at least i must see clear direction and also the nature of my project...i am not someone who likes to work on paper design although i can smoke very well....i like implementation more...humm...maybe i cant be an academic =p....so next time better stick to teaching pri, sec, jc or poly. Uni is not for me. =p

Still a bit behind my plans....quite slow today, but hopefully tomorrow can pick up and hopefully after meeting my prof, can help to zero in into my objective if not i am wasting my 3 months of intern

Thanks ruiyi and his dad for giving me a ride to school...so reach quite early today...humm think will clear the time that i owe that company, so today will stay a little bit late =p.

Drove on the Bejamin Shears Bridge, saw the city skyline and reminds me of my previous workplace....humm....brings back memories, hey only just left last week.

The lab was almost like a warzone....thats the state whenever fyp finishes. I need to prepare some space to conduct my experiment...almost no place cos some undergraduates need to use and was in their shoes last time too and know how urgent they need the comp, so me just tried to clear some space in the midst of the mess. Finally clear one full table and another small space for my labtop =p. Was told by my sup that i am infested with all the power to order others to clear their mess =p....(great power comes great resposibilites....haha suddenly thought of it...a line from "Spiderman 2")....but anyway me just clear it lah....u know i dont like to order people around unless its of great importance or safety and also that they are in the midst of last lap in preparing for exam and fyp. All the best man.....

Going for meeting later, so now try to design some experiment to do later and also need to send Jiwei his birthday present...think will reach melbourne after his birthday =( ......

I know its an oxymoron.....busy but free...haha. Got started with my project liao, in a way no choice cos my sup wants me to start although i wanted to do some planning first. I know why he wanted me to do so, but have a great struggle initially cos when i do things, i always very straight one...humm a better word will be singled minded...but then he understand and wants me to explain. At the end, i tried to do what he advices as i know of his concern for me and also "secretly" do my part too =p. At least now i have started and not keep thinking what to do, thanks to my sup. I realised i can be very tongue tied when i speak to my sup and i dont even understand what i saying....maybe i should email him...cos when i tell my friend what i want to do, i explain it very well =p.

Will be and is busy but at least i can control my time, cos in the lab, i can consider 2nd in command after a PhD student. Tomorrow, will be building more stuff and going to test my equipment in SRC. Still owe the company 2 working hours as i only need to clock 44 hours a week and depends how i wanted to...so tomorrow will go super early =p. Met up with a friend whom i knew and studied with since sec, wow going to get his phd soon =p....got one more friend to chat with in school liao. Met up with another close friend whom i knew in germany, and brought him to my lab and wah lah, he and another lab friend of mine are from the same cell group =p...small world...its even more coincident that for today badminton, a colleague of weining was invited to play with us, and guess what....he is my BMT mates and NS mates =p....humm whats more surprise awaits me tomorrow =p. Finally sweat it out during the badminton today, and looking forward to the muscle ache tomorrow...my good old friend =p.

Oops today still have not practise my japanese yet...better do it tomorrrow and need to plan for my experiment too. Too many things in my mind liao, unlike working in Parliament House, but i not going to let these things affect my life after work...hehe....oh btw set up my laptop with nusnet liao...now can use my own laptop liao...yes yes and i can do my stuff outside the lab

Its good evening in japanese...went for first lesson in inoue for japanese lesson with mr poh....wow a wide range of students even though its a small class...and happen to know a cabin crew who has been flying to japan quite often. Learn quite a few things from him...hehe should be my main spar partner though...hehe cos he can speak japanese while i took a basic course about 5 years ago....can only write abit but forget most of the stuff liao...but mr poh is catching up very fast though he never learns before...i am impressed...=p...think my teacher's name is Nikaido sensei....got homework liao and must practice =p....

Yes....finally can wear berms to work cos dont have meeting tomorrow till next monday...and i only need to be in lab ...hehe so no one to decide what dress code...so i decide myself =p. Looking forward to tommorrow badminton also...cos long time didnt exercise liao...chat with mr poh abt BOTC....now its just whether am i committed to it...cos i dont want to jump into it and then later realise i cant commit....so if i really want...i better be more discipline and prepare to use for sat for BB only...humm now have to go and type me Grant Chart for my internship liao =p....

I going to be nuts....not from the project though,...but the lab is toooooooo quiet liao...."sob, sob", rather the undergrads are here and make noise i dont mind =p.....tried to switch off the aircon and open the door, and hope to hear some sound from outside.....hehe....i go crazy with the computer running sound only....dont think i am those who can work in an computer surround and no single soul enviroment =(.....tried to play music but computer no speaker....but at least now door open...hehe can hear birds chipping...wow so good

Nothing much today, except slacking. Cos tomorrow onwards need to start on my masters/internship liao, although in the background research / reading phase only, but must try to start engine again. Not sure how to start and what to do for tomorrow, so just spent my time watching feng yun first and then decide my direction once i meet my sups tomorrow for confirmation of direction.

Hopefully, i will spend my time wisely during these four months to prepare and set my goals. Oh, tomorrow going to start my japanese lesson liao...think it will be fun to have my ex teacher as my classmate...hehe....dont know how much i remember from my past lesson...anyway start from zero lah and hopefully this time round i can at least finish JLPT 4. Humm, maybe i should start learning guitar or keyboard soon =p....

Oh no, have to wake up very early liao...since NUS is so far and i dont like to take train there....so must sleep early liao and tomorrow is one full day till evening...japanese lesson going to end at 10 pm...maybe will take a nap in the lab...hehe ..think no cctv there lah =p.

Legalism......

Yesterday, went for PAF and we were on Matthew 12 and discussed a bit of issue of legalism...how the Pharisees had totally missed the point.....how they had imposed man made laws on people and burdened them....the Pharisees tried to act "holy"....yet they are the very one who plotted and kill God's own Son.

Legalism, might not appeared as the same form as in the NT, but still do exsit in our midst ... even sometimes in the way i think too =( it can also occur in the most "acceptable" things that christians "ought to do", such as going to church, reading the bible, serving in ministry or even in our acts in daily lives such as what course to take, what food to eat or what books to read....the lists can go on forever. How much time have we missed the point, the essence of why certain things are done and obey to this man imposed rules? Will we at the end busy ourselves with trying to meet the requirements of all these rules and yet at the end deny Christ as what the Pharisees had done? God's laws are simple...and its summarise in Matthew 22:37-40 (Jesus replied:" 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments.") May the Holy Spirit helps me to apply this in my life.

Was reading "Basic Christianity" by John Scott....a mind stirring book which i still struggle to grapple with some issues. Who says that when one becomes a Christian, it is a leap into the unknown and leaving our brain aside? For Christ also warned us to consider the cost of becoming His disciples...how can we consider without having our mind on? Since on this issue of legalism, also chat with CC regarding the way that we speak to non-believer on our way to the BB enrolment service. We normally ask our non believer friends/family members to read the bible to know more abt our belief, but how do we reponse when they ask us to do likewise? .....Sometimes, i just being legalistic and a hypocrite when i asked people to read the bible (and insisting/persuading again and again ) and yet i declined their offer(without second thought). (although in my younger days, had read briefly about some religions and their beliefs.).... Anyway, reading DOESN'T mean believing too. Similary, for us who are "ritually" reading the bible or doing Christian "rites"(if there are any ???), might not necessary means that we are Christian. (haha refer back to previous paragraph)

Saw Mrs Lim, my JC maths teacher in the BB/GB enrolment services and got to know that her husband was an BB officer last time =p. Saw those cute little boys and girls from the junior companies, and how the officers and helpers from ARPC have helped to mould their characters and also sharing with them the gospel....humm....should i go BOTC?....hehe must be committed to it once i decided though=p....will talk to Mr Poh more about it...got some tricky issues too =p...

Oh will be going for japanese lesson with Mr Poh at Inoue every monday starting this coming week.....humm..have to rush down from NUS. Hopefully tomorrow will spend some time planning for my internship and stuff to do for this coming phase since i dont need to go for "facilitation" tomorrow =p....really pity my students...so many tuitions...haiz...tuition has become legalistic too...lost its meaning liao....or is it education as a whole????

There is a time for everything....came the fateful when i finally need to leave my current job =( What can i say....but just that really find it enjoyable working there =p. Only attached to help the reporters for a while during the sitting, yet they still remember and gave me a tea treat....hehe although its not lunch but its the thought that counts....thats somehow make me even more 依依不舍. Really must thank God that since i started working, have been blessed with good colleagues who journey with me through joyful and difficult times =p...... anyway went down to esplanade to take a walk before PAF....since seldom go down to city area....think will take quite some time before i adapt to the new environment. Oh btw have a nice chat with colleagues and supervior..haha maybe even advices =p.

Maybe if i go to hear any public hearing, will go down and visit them....humm....talking abt that...me have not gone down to PRCS since the release of O level results =p....haha anyway still can meet the students outside.

Take my hat off......

Got a lunch treat from my colleagues today at cafe cartel...really thanks a lot =p. I think i learnt a lot while working there as temp. Its really fun working there and its the people that make the enviroment different =p. Finally finished my last Standing Order liao as i did promise my sup that i will try to finish it before i leave. Just email my letter of resignation and after tomorrow, it will be another challenging road ahead.

Think, its my last 2 days, thats why sup came over and chat. Came to know that a lady who is working temp job and trying to pursue her dreams in arts. How much she has to sacrifice (in getting a comfortable life) just to pursue her passion. Thinking of that, reminds me of a few friends such as weibin, now pursing a dip in music even after he graduated from NUS. Now, see him so busy but yet doing something he like....so must support him lah...hehe his performance =p....jia you....sometimes its so hard to forgo all the comforts in life just to pursue our own dreams expecially those not "recognise" by the economic driven society. Seeing peers owning cars, going for tours and etc., while one is still struggling to substain their passion and meets their daily ends, is sometimes really discouraging. But hopefully the passion for their dreams will continue to propel them on, and even like-minded and encouraging friends do play an important part too. Think christians who go on full time work are such category of people too....they also need people to support and encourage them too =p...but at the end of the day, they can always rely on one trustworthy Friend(Jesus) who will never fail or leave them and will always be with them unlike us.

Speaking about that, really hope that Wei Lit can be admitted into his masters course too......so that we can 并肩作战。.... really treasure this brother, friend and team mate of mine who has tolerated my nonsenses since year 1 and also in Munich =p. His help was a wonderful gift from God too =p.

Its pouring today when i about to get home....but the bus driver was so kind that he stopped exactly at the bus shelter =p.....hehe moreover my house is connected by the rain shelter.....

Today doing the last Standing Order liao...should be finishing tomorrow and not sure what to do since going off on Friday. But hope to contribute what i can though =p. One of the colleague suggested "Cafe Cartel" (not sure correct or not cos never went there b4) for the lunch on friday but not sure how others think....will ask them tomorrow then....humm me normally have no opinion abt where to eat...hehe for those who know me =p unless it cost a bomb.....looking "backwards" to friday (not looking forward lah....)

Had my leftover whip potato from afternoon lunch.....doesnt taste nice when its cold but still finish it though.....anyway nice cool weather to just laze around, but watch the first episode of "wind cloud"....ok lah...but very dramatic leh =p....39 more to go.....humm...still got a few things to be done before my resignation on friday =p...but think tomorrow then do it =p

Today is suppose to be "ching min"- a chinese festival to remember those loved ones who had passed away. Didnt know till my mum told me and also heard some people around me who mentioned it. Think the scenerio in Singapore today, at least where i am today, the atmosphere was nothing close to the above poem....oh but at least one part is true, its RAINING today. But where are those broken spirited people, let alone asking for the wine house to drown their sorrows...haha....even though in a modern city in singapore, but still can identify with the poet and can visualise how is it like during their time....cos the poem is good mah....=p

My colleagues and supervisor were asking me where to go for my farewell lunch....humm this kind of stuff, i dont like to make decision..hehe...maybe somewhere cheap lah although there is hint that my sup will be treating...=p....but think should be the other way round cos all of them make my stay there so fun =p.

Btw think today i was quite insensitive to my colleague's situation who is a christian too. My colleague was given a certain task to check something on the softcopy and hardcopy, i think. My colleague was quite stress as didnt know what to do, but instead of helping as a brother in Christ, i tried to make some "lame" jokes, thought of reducing the stress situation. But think it backfired. But thank God that the other colleague actually tried to type something in the search field to help =p....humm....think i better do some reflection hor, oh Lord help me to be more sensitive that i will act in love towards others.

Had dinner with CC, Mike and barney. Had nice time catching up with one another...think quite long didnt meet up like that liao...hehe next time can gather the ex - YA again although the last time barney tried, but everyone was busy back then. Oh also got the 风云 CD from mike...hehe...got something to watch and heard that its was quite good =p. 40 episodes.....wow better dont spend too much time since i got my masters to start too.

Raining day today...but its cooling...was on my way back from lunch and saw "very low" clouds surrounding the OUB, UOB and those tall buildings in Raffles Place...wow really nice ....dont know how the people up there viewing it...how is it like?....must be great =p.

Its those kind of good weather where u like to hide in your bed, over a blanker, listening to radio and reading a book =p...haha...those lazy evening =p....ok i think i will blog till here today.....

still suffering from the tiredness due to yesterday's event. Went for serivce but was very tired and doze off during the service. Went home to sleep after that before went for a run which i didnt go for the past 2 weeks. Still got muscles ache ...humm thought i recovered from the badminton liao, humm dont tell me its cos of driving the manual car for whole day???

Got/"bought"(depends need to pay him or not =p....) a "new" phone from my bro since he took my hp for upgrading since the value is depreciating a lot. But heard from him that this phone got a lot of radiation, so he advise me to use speaker or headset. Now can also listen to radio instead of using my mp3 player. Think my youngest bro is the most "fortunate" cos he just got his first hp from my sis and bro-in-law.... haha a gift for him since he has not asked we all to get him one even though friends around him got hp long time ago. But think now its time to get him one =p since he has been using my hp since he entered JC to communicate with his peers. A "joke" from him recently: When asked for contacts during his orientation, everyone phone no. starts with "9" only his starts with "6" and think they ask him "这是什么电话来的？"

Life Big's Questions

Got a book "Life Big's Questions" today and going to give it as a gift as it tackles some questions such as the Holy Spirit which is normally misunderstood or avoided.

Humm...seems like got a lot of decisions to be made soon, maybe i should commission a "committee" to make those decisions...haha....to me these are very difficult issues, how i wish they are as easy as engineering question which is clear cut .....haha at least for some to me. =p
1) Committed to AS or AR.
2) Church camp AS or AR or none.
3) BOTC?
4) Volunteer work (where, when) or go to Taiwan with the "teachers gang" or visit jiwei in melbourne =p (must be cheaper one..haha cos no $$$)
5) Should i take more tuition but i hope to have time for myself
6) Baptism (related to point 1)
7) Anyone still for "SOM" (think i have to go alone then as the situation stands now...anyway never go for muscial alone, might be quite an experience too =p)

Hope to resolve some issues soon =p, may God gives me wisdom and guide me to think through it too. Think i have to list those things that i hope to do but not yet do....too many things on my mind now, scared that it will bring me down...haha like the "weeds that grow in the same soil as the seed and later choked it" =p

Tired, dead tired..........

Legs muscle pain, not enough sleep, wet feet/socks and shoes, slightly dirty shirt and berms, hungry....thats the stuff i feeling when came back from helping with the BB AQ. Came back around 8 plus, and today i think i drove more mileage using manual gear than all i had from my learning of driving till yesterday. Really need to thank God for all the safety since i have not driven manual for long long time. Was supposed to end earlier, but everything was delayed as most cant reach the checkpoint on time and its pouring today. But the boys enthusiasm really impressed me, thats what youth possess.

Humm, have a crazy suggestion, anyone game to join the AQ next year in the open category =p...

Think i better have a rest now, cos tomorrow still got service but luckily cancelled all tuition and faciliations, so hope to have a good rest after service =p.

世事难料。。。。

Thought of going home straight after work today...(i mean yesterday) and then meet Mr Poh, but just reached home not long ago at 12 plus am (02/04)...this is not an post April fool joke.

Intended to go home and watch the last episode of 皆大欢喜 and another show, but was unabled to. Good too, cos when watching those last episode, always have those 依依不舍的感觉, and will need some time for this feeling to "wear off"...haha....

Since on this topic, I was confirmed of my internship yesterday, so will have to bid farewell for my current job this coming friday =(...sob sob...will miss everything there and also _ _ , will treasure those days there =p

Pray that God will lead me through those days of transition =p.

ok will try to summarise what happen yesterday in points, cos need to wake up early later only got less than 4h of sleep before a wonderful day.

1) Met with supervisors and now change objective for the 3rd time and not confirm yet, of course learn sometime in the process =p..haiz now getting lesser and lesser pay ($700 now) but ok lah, can get to start on my project soon, so hopefully can finish my masters in 1 year.

2) Was supposed to go home but suddenly remember need to get for my bro a watch since he dont have and i got my salary today =p. Went to Penisular Plaza and got one CASIO for him.

3) Weibin called me that he got 2 complementary tics for his masterclass recital performance and managed to find JieChao to go along.

4) Think not biased lah, weibin performed the best among the rest i heard, precise note and wonderful showmanship =p. I can assure all of you...singapore future famous violinist is none other than our friend here =p. Keep it up and i think all your hard work over the years have paid off =p.

5) Met with Mr Poh to get the van for BB AQ later on. I have not driven a manual car for more than 6 years, let alone a van. Pray that I will drive safely later =p hehe with 2 lives on my hand too =p. Wait the the BB boys to test their bikes and also load them up. All the best 14th COY for the AQ later on, and not sure they are sleeping now in counselling centre, anyway they should be awake in an hours time.

Early Sat....

1) Need to fetch a senoir BB boy by 545am and so must go to drive and orientate myself with the van by 530, which means i have less than 3.5 hr of sleep and i better sleep soon =p.

2) Not sure if i will join them for the end of the race at junction 8 around 5 pm ..see whether i tired or not.

1) I am accepted by God (cos Christ sacrified for my sins, rose again so that i can live a new life....not by my works but by the grace of God...need to remind myself of this joy each day of my life =p)
2) I am accepted by NUS and am given the NUS postgraduate scholarship =p (Thank God for His providence, just receive the news today =p)...hopefully wei lit can also be accepted too...then we can work together again as good buddies =p....haha really remember the days that we struggle through =p...God bless you too =p

Back to Basics

too traditional...too liberal....haiz initally it might be started with good intention so that people wont go to the extreme but at the end, cos of human sinful desire and self glorification, we still move to the extreme (think tradition and liberalistic are all man imposed), forgotten our basic....what we believe in initially.....
had a chat with daniel on monday too about this issue and how we christians have forgotten our basics abt who we are, what we believe but wanting to move on to something new. Is our basic foundation so boring that we have to move on to something new...new experience, new exciting things....is bible that boring; is knowing about that we are sinnner; that we are rightfully under God's judgment; that by God's grace He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be a sacrifice for our sins; that by beliving in Jesus, our relationship with God is being restored; that by the power of the Holy Spirit (which is given as a deposit for those who believe, that we are God's children) we can live lives that are pleasing to God and to love one another. Its sometime really boring to hear these again and again in the bible and weekly sermons, but does that mean we should move on to look for more exciting and new things? But essentially, those biblical truth are what we believe in when we first decided to be Christian by the conviction of the Holy Spirit and should not we hold on to these truth till the day we see God face to face or when Christ comes again =p. Of course, i hope i am not denying the fact that God can still perform miracles nowadays...anyway HE is God, who am i to put Him in my box and tell Him what He can or cannot do! Of course, we also have to take cautions when people say they can perform miracles and others stuff....are we now moving towards man-centered/glorification or Christ-centered and glorifying God? Most often than not (i wont say all), its all point to MEN and not God, and sadly at the end, the so-call "God" that we are speaking is OURSELVES. WE ARE GOD...thats precisely what we are saying. Of course, for us who thought that we know our bible so well can also fall into these too. Thats is why its always good to remind of the first love for God =p..sound chim rite...haha just draw a parallel to marriage lah...think thats why in bible, marriage sometimes draw parallel to the relationship between Christ and His church.
Just ask ourselves these questions: As we grow in years in our marriage, are we going to look for new, exciting things from our marriage beside from the basic, fundamental first love you have for one another? Isnt the sourcing for "new and exciting" things after one felt bored with one another leads to adultery? In the case of our belief, isnt that tantamount to idolatry!!!!
At the end of the day, no matter what we do, lets us hold on to the ESSENTIAL and be united in it, as for the non-essential, let us be liberal, and above of things let us treat each other with charity =p...Let us continue to motivate one another, brothers and sisters in Christ, to persevere in this faith that we first started =p

Cough...cough..... (tried to correct some grammar and sentence structure, 11.30 pm...just now was 不忍睹瞩..hope now, it is better =p)

Was coughing almost the whole day in office....just felt that the air in office was a bit dry and throat felt itchy....humm think its the air-con....cos now i am not coughing as bad (hehe ate too much fried stuff yesterday too) =p...(btw its really nice that a colleague asked me how i am..thanks....=p)...humm is air-con really a good invention? how did our ancestor survive without air-con last time....humm thinking about it....
1) if i am driving, normally i drove without air-con on...(more power for car too =p)
2) dont sleep with air-con...in fact i quite hate the feeling of waking up with super dry throat when sleeping in air-con place.
3) moreover if happen to sleep in air-con place, will use blanket to cover my head to warm the air first..haha...=p..think i have not suffocate myself yet =p
4) when studying in NUS, normally will go to the open-air benches rather than going to lib or classroom with aircon

Conclusion: Rather wear light t-shirts and shorts to work in non air-con place than wearing those formal clothing in aircon place =p

Jobs, jobs, jobs......

Was thinking on my way home: maybe i shouldnt keep asking people how their progress with their job search, although it may be out of concern. Cos i think its quite stressful and a struggle for them both from within and from the expectation of society while waiting patiently for the results..i had been through that. But thank God for the people around me who had journeyed with me and supported me, of course God too =p. Sending my best wishes to all of them..haha might include myself too...cos now everything put on hold too...internship not confirm, masters not confirm, but its good to trust in God and thank Him even for this temp job...got my own free time =p
Its quite sad that in this busy, economic driven society, people just work just to live and at the end if we can enjoy the fruit of our hard work, we are almost there..haha as in graveyard....dont think its right to blame anyone else or the economy cos each one of us make up the society and we should play our part in reforming our mentality and should start from myself first. Although we still need to work for living (its a gift from God that we can work too....), but God also give us rest from our work to enjoy the fruits of our labour and also that we wont idolise our work =p.....
Its quite sad that we have a certain mindset of "do-able" jobs and if people (some students) say that they want to be a chef, they are often being discouraged. But its their passion.......sometimes will try to share with them that there are no such "do-able" jobs since they are going to be the future generation in the society. Shared with them that when i first graduated as an engineer with ***(not bad result ok =p) ...i worked as an aircraft cleaner cos i simply like planes; they dont believed. haha even my then-colleagues also dont believed when they knew, some even asked to me give their kids tuition instead =p
Think as long as the job that we hold are not against righteousness, we should always thank God for what He has given to us. At the end of a day's hard work, we can sleep/rest with clear conscience and thank God for the day =p. Moreover, there's always learning opportunity wherever we are.

Still suffering from muscles ache after some badminton games, luckily today dont need to type that much...if not think hand cant take it liao.

haha ...not about calling that "my time is up"...its about the internship which i may be going this coming 11th April....hope that D** call so that i can join them for internship but at the same, was hoping that they wont call me as i quite enjoy my current temp job =p.

Anyway they gave me an email this evening, change of project title and going to link up with another person, and should be going to meet him this coming friday..if all goes well...so thats means have to take morning off again....anyway thank God for everything =p

Manage to type finish a 90 over pages of Standing Orders with checking for typing error..and with all those formatting....wow a great satisfaction =p....=p...think my typing speed improve a bit also =p. Hope to finish this last project before i leave =p

Manage to file my tax today =p...yes....and also email my supervisor the updates of my project discussion...all these are a week overdue...finally get it done...was filing my tax, was updating some profile in SDU website (they sent me a letter a few weeks ago to ask to log on and update if not they will shut down the account...)....hey hey dont get the wrong idea =p....i just wanted to find out if they have a cheap diving course which they offered for members....seems like they dont have =(......think will have to join NUS one if I get into NUS for masters programme....outside courses are too expensive....luckily got my sailing licence during my teaching times...MOE paid for it and its FREE...hehhe....but now cant sail free....maybe Lucas and the Sheng brothers can bring me to their club for sailing..but then hor u all sail too dangerously liao =p...

Oh btw heard from barney that the recent earthquakes at the Nias, most of them are acutally Christians. Hope that we as fellow members of the Christian family can keep them in prayer and God mercy and grace to bring them through. Hopefully, despite the difficult moments, may God's strength be with them that they might be a living testimonial for Christ =p.

Good "Good Friday"

Had a wonderful "Good Friday", started off the day with good sermon preached by Michael Raiter. He even touch on the most "taboo" issue...haha..SIN!! Clearly explain what sin is: it is us, human trying to live lives in our own ways, with no regards to our creator....

Wow...evening got the "Sound of Music" movie...watched it once when i was in Sec 1 during the music lesson...but last time this show was like a "horror movie" to me, will get nightmare one...think cos being forced to watch =(
This movie is a foreshadow of the real thing (the musical which is coming to singapore soon)..oh btw the the musical came out first before it was being made into movie .
Moral of the story: A good teacher must know how to sing...=p..haha..."Maria" also tried to understand her students' needs and the reasons why they act in a certain way.
Like the last part when Captain Von Trapp was singing "Edelweiss"...very profound meaning when he said those last words before he sang "Edelweiss"...understanding that "Edelweiss" is Austria national flower. Oh btw an interesting website on "Edelweiss"....haiz...now no one going to watch the musical...only left me =(.....still got any takers.....can jio me =p

想不到，在短短的几日，已经修炼了上乘轻功的基础。。。。凌波微步第一式（应该是凌波微指）=p 刚开始这份工作时，打起字来还过得去，但经过这两三天的修炼，已能在电脑棋盘迅速的飞奔。。。但是错字还是连篇，还得谦虚点。。。需要加倍努力。。。减少错误。。。=p

Now, my finger muscles so stiff...type quite slow now....think 内力 used finish in work liao =p now even type sms...有心无力....never type so much and so fast in my life....hehe really learn another thing in this job...=p Thank God, no matter where i am , there always a place for learning and honoring Him with whatever i do, by His grace =p

Manage to speak to my supervisor today that i may go for internship in april and will need to quit by 11/4. But not confirm from my internship company yet, need to confirm with them tomorrow if the internship is still on and whether they still accept if i am going there only after 11/4. I told my sup abt the whole scenerio and its was really nice of her to tell me that i can always continue to work in my current job if the internship dont turn out well. Once i leave, really will miss everything there =(.

No one going for the "were you there" talk today, so me just went home...thought of running but SG injured his leg...so stayed at home....haha..now can use the internet anytime i want cos my bro not using....must be tired after the orientation. Tomorrow Sk going for the talk....haha at least someone going...so should be meeting him there =p

Almost confirm going for "Sound of Music"on 23/4 ...now only me and barney confirm...anyone joining....oh btw someone birthday on that day too...the one who gave me "免死金牌" =p go leh...then can go out later with weibin and others and go to your favourite karaoke =p....

天气阴霾。。。quite hazy these days too, humm…felt quite a little gloomy today but now ok liao =p

“A knife can save someone or kill someone”, depends how one use it. Similarly, words spoken by people can also encourage others or hurt others. Thank God for the teaching opportunity last year and the lesson learnt that words spoken can affect the lives of the receiving end. Pray that by the power of the Holy Spirit, may I be sensitive to others and speak words that will encourage others and give honor and glory to God. Despite so, hope that I wont be a hypocrite, who just speak words that the itchy ears want to hear. Pray that I will speak the truth in love too =p.

Oh btw, my bro got his posting to SRJC..hehe he is trying to play all the games that he can before his school starts tomorrow….hope that he will be discipline to do his work…haha does that means that I can use the internet more often =p…but I must do some reading up on my master too…thinking of that…I better send my update to my sup by tonight…..

Kick Ball，踢球，Tak Giu （In Hokkien)

Its a short movie done by Jacen(a local product), which sends me into laughter. Every single moment of the show is so funny, especially when u understand singlish and hokkien. Must go to the web and watch hor...its free btw and must suppport =p. Although it was a short one, but it was taken with good techniques (the one running across expressway and many), good sound effect....think Jacen no need to go and look for movie related job, just go and set up own company =p

Like the ending: after going through so many obstacle, they finally found their paradise (soccer field). Hopefully for Jacen and many others too, that they will be able to see their rainbow soon even though they are going through a thunderstorm rite now.....在暴风雨的另一端，总会有灿烂的阳光对着你微笑。。。。

Teaching or not....my advice??

My friend's friend called me just now for advice whether he should go for teaching. Hopefully, i had given him the correct information(few cents worth) in terms of pros and cons, the challenges, the fufilment, the joy, the pain, etc in MY (disclaimer:that is how i see it, might not be how other see it ) perspective. Hopefully he may come up with his own decision soon. No matter what decision he makes, hopefully he will persevere in the path he has chosen despite the challenges ahead and my best wishes in whatever he do =p

Learning WinWord.....

Today, manage to learn quite a few functions in winword which i have never used it before from my colleagues=p. Also managed to share with them what i know about some functions....hehe easier than reading the help file.

Tried to invite some friends to the Michael Raiter talks on "Were you there" series which will be held from this Wed to Sunday. Although some of them were not interested in the talks, still hope that one day they will give themselves a chance to listen to God's words and may the Holy Spirit convicts them of God's truth =p....Anyway wishing all a happy long weekend ahead =p

Think will have to inform my supervisor this week or early next week, that i will need to leave this temp job by mid-April. Hopefully, i can finish whatever work need to be done by then and not create too much inconvenience for her. Really enjoy the job and the colleagues that i have there....think will miss the enviroment for the time being =(

我的决定。。。

很多朋友及学生都在问我为什么离开教书这份行业。原因很多，事情的前因后果也错综复杂，我也不易将事情的来龙去脉解释清楚。虽然如此，我希望能把事情的经过简略的列出来。我虽身在教育界外，但心及精神还是跟着你们同行这艰苦及有意义的道路上。我对你们疑问的“遗言”是：“I will be back......."

“理想和现实的差距越大，失望也就跟着越大”(Extracts from Pastor Chris's sermon about the then-Israelites' expectations of Jesus as their king and messiah to deliver them from the roman's rule, but the reality is that Jesus who will be their king and messiah, MUST die on the cross for their sins. Thus (their expectations and the reality are world apart), this led them to great disappointment to the point of rejecting Jesus as their king and messiah)...oops..言归正传。

In the Beginning....(Term1)
1）Expectation: Sit-in an experience teacher's class for 1-2 weeks to learn, at the same time slowly take over the class in a few weeks time.
Reality: Need to start teaching all the classes by myself, with no knowledge of how to do it. Everyday, just sleep about 3-4 hours and trying to prepare lessons, worksheets for the next day.

2) Expectation: Ideal students with ideal passion for learning; read up before lessons, do their homework, revise their work.
Reality: Chasing after homework, catching them after school to stay back and do homework, revising with them by giving mock tests and going through before their actual test (haiz..still can fail =( ...)

3) Expectation: Students will respond to my advices, teaching and "character-moulding stories"
Reality: At least one of the class responded very well =p....in fact, i can confidently say that that is the class which give me great joy in teaching at that time. Although they are noisy at times, they know how to cooperate with you, opening up their hearts to you, sharing their learning difficulties with you (of course, need to respect their opinions and listen to them....humm maybe thats why we are always behind syllabus =p). Always, eager to go for their lessons, and always hoped that their lesson could be longer. ..i think thats propel me on to stay in teaching. (thats also the reason why i rejected one job interview as i feel so attached to teaching them.)
Of course, there is another class which drives me "through" the wall...powerful than "up" the wall, make me "laugh cant laugh" and "cry cant cry" =p. The very last time that i scold them, i was very disappointed with them, that i laugh after that. I told them that if i continue doing this, i going to IMH very soon. (it makes me feel like throwing in the towel)

Paradigm Shift.....Term2
1) The CCA camp and especially the NYAA camp change my perspective of the "driving me crazy" class =p. I was to be their teacher-in-charge for the camp (heard that the whole class shouted for joy....dont know why??) Anyway during the camp, discover their great latent potential in skills outside classroom and also why the class behave in such a manner: the perception of others(might even include myself), how we stereotyped this class and thus entrenched in their minds that they are the "blacklisted" class, thus they behave to the "expectation" of others...seems like the Cooley's "looking-glass self" theory. The camp become a turning point for the relationship between us. Manage to understand their family background and even other issue and start to empathise them. Make a pact with them that whoever make an improvement in grades or behavior, will organise a barbecue for them. Some of them even become great "friends" of mine, even "counsel" me(when they know that i am quitting), giving me advices and taught me keyboard ...hahaha =p

2) Transfer to teach Sec1 and using the lessons learnt from teaching in Sec 2, tend to shift focus to more character building and understanding the students. Really enjoy myself teaching the sec 1..hehe so cute and innocent and thats keep me going. However, the keeping up to plan lesson for next day, marking of assignments took up most of my private times. Little time for family, for friends, for personal activities, and worse still for God (Just imagine, i am only taking at most 80% of the perm staff's load). With lesser and lesser time for God and personal reflection, i work like a mechanical robot and going to lose myself soon.

Planning to Quit...Term 3 &4
1) So i decided to quit before i become a workaholic and lose of my purpose in life. Decided to go Sydney for master research for my "sabbatical" leave and also attend a church(St. Andrew Cathedral) there to correct some of the doctrinal problem that i have and also have my "spiritual sabbatical" =p. Decided to finish teaching till year end while waiting for my application result.

2) Seems like my application to sydney didnt get through, so decided to apply for local uni. At the same time, someone give me the idea of changing my teaching subject to PE. Since i was an active sportsman, this option seems viable. Moreover, with PE, i should have less marking and thus can spend more time with students and also have more private time =p...(sorry PE teachers/friends out there, if i have underestimate your workload.) However, my appeal to changing of subject was not successful. Thankfully, that my uni supervisor agrees to take me in as a masters student and the project is also something i like to do. Hopefully, during my study break, i can really realign my purpose in life =p.

3) Finally, came the faithful day which i submit my letter of resignation........

Wow...what a short reasons =p...oh btw think the Straits Times Forum on 17/03 by Mrs Elaine Toh-Tan Yee Lin summarise what i think too...this time its really short:
"....... And I believe that, at the end of the day, teachers who left did so not because they stopped believing in what they did but rather they believed in it so strongly that they did not think they could accomplish all that without making any compromise in other areas of their lives"

Sat 19/03....

After tuition, dont know where to go cos going to meet a group of students to "facilitate" discussion at 6pm in the same area(Pasir Ris). After walking for some distance, in Pasir Ris, decided to go home and take a nap before meeting them again.
Felt a bit lazy to go out after nap, but thanks YH for giving me an sms if not i will be very late =p. Going to change our meeting time for next week onwards, if not my sat will be all "eaten" up. Really glad that they are really putting effort in their revisions, think FY has improved a lot, but no place of complacency hor...but still need to be more confident of yourself, think you will do well this time round. Same for YH =p...now u all believe liao rite, maths is soooooo easy haha. 加油. As for them, i think i not worry about they not study, but more of worrying they dont have enough break.

Although, didnt do much thing for the day, was quite tired. Suppose to do bible study, but got doze off on a couch, with my CONTACTS ON...... my youngest bro actually passed me my pillow and blanket, humm also spread my mattress =p..thanks bro (or maybe trying to atone for not letting me use the internet earlier on ...haha =p).

Really feel good when woke up with the vision so clear....my contacts are still there =p. Really miss those days with 6/6 vision.

Anyone...for concert?

Got an extra free tic for weibin performance today, was trying to look for people to come along....so manage to find dapeng =p. Of course, he the 2nd one that i called, so sorry for those that i didnt manage to call =p.
Found out that the cheaper tics for "Sound of music" have all sold out, so left with those 100 plus one....will be getting one...but not sure about the rest of you all.

Changes in life...

Yesterday was chatting with daniel about changes in life. How i have settled in one job and like the environment and after that i still need to move on to another new environment due to some reasons. But really thank God that all these while when i was facing with so many changes in life, He has been gracious to me with wonderful new colleagues who support and help me along the way and thus adapting to the environment very fast. Hope that by God's strength and love, i have been loving and supporting them too =p. Now just adjusted to my temp job and environment, humm...need to leave soon liao....sometimes think of it make me feel sad too =( and then do another internship for 2 months...haiz another new place and people =p.

End year dinner

Had a very fun time with colleagues in the company year end dinner, although i have to leave early for weibin performance. Quite ok food...but think of it , its free =p....but some food quite nice =p. Oh btw, durian cake too, and wine ....hehe but i dont drink =p...haha wasted rite for those who like alcohol....think when i was in germany, when one friend offered me to drink, i told him its not nice and give the rest to others, they told me its such a waste =p....anyway nearly got ill after taking that sip....humm...am i missing out something wonderful in life =p. Also had fun with some games, hehe manage to learn a teachnique how to play the game from my colleague, a good one which i didnt think of...hehe...sometimes an art student see things of so called "engineering" better than an engneer...just like the chinese saying 旁观者清，当局者迷。 haha how true...haha this time round, quite confident to win the game liao =p...but have to leave at the 2nd game. ... hope they have a fun time playing and singing too. ...oh btw first time sit so close to my GRC MPs....what an honour =p.

Concert..

Wow was walking behind our Minister for Manpower when going to the concert...seems like i have an "affinity" to these big shots...maybe i fated to be one...haha joking joking =p.

Opera...humm ...not my cup of tea though....maybe its a cup of coffee....dont understand what they trying to sing...haiz...worse still when they are singing in english and i cant catch a single word. I rather they sing in a foreign language, at least i dont feel so bad. So frustrated...but later when i gave up trying to catch what they sing, but rather listen as a form of "musical instrument", everything sounds so much better now. haha, maybe initially i should have stop trying to get what the lyrics are. Anyway, i like the most is the opiume...i mean the piece call "opiume", by a solo celloist annd string quartet (weibin inside)....quite a sad tune but somehow quite like it =p....Then another one is the piece call "The smile of the land", i think...very dramatic start, quite majestic and lively =p. For the opera part, like the something ("china" and another, cant remember, sang by 2 ladies and a guy ) and those sang by a phillipines guy =p. Humm , going for another opera?.....maybe see how, at least now, i wont try to understand what the lyrics are =p.
Think "Sound of Music" will be much much better, since have seen the show (compulsory when i was in sec 1) and know the story background and the show. So anyone going....price now is at 100 plus.

Pack day.....

Yesterday, was quite a pack day and went home quite late too....that why didnt manage to blog it. However, it quite fulfilling though. Today, will be another full day, just hope to blog before my work starts......humm..will blog later once i have the time...going back to work

Recall yesterday.....

Was quite rush...going to NUS, but thankfully my bro-in-law drove me to school, so on the way can do my update...thankfully manage to round thing up before seeing my prof.
Life is so unpredictable, first thing my sup told me was ..."tze liang, project objective changed..." oops...my days of efforts (like i have like that =p)....anyway, the problem becomes slightly easier...but he warned me that it might change again =p. But the discussion went well, and he gave me very good advice and guidance as in which direction to head.
Before i left, he ask me a million dollar question :" you sure u want to continue with masters? With only $1500/mth for 2 years, how u get married?"....humm good questions hor....but hor..if say married, my future partner is not marrying my money....on the other hand, he got a point, about the cost of marriage, as in financial cost. (since i wrote that in my HRM exam...hehe plagarise from the YA meeting before my exams...and think argue along this line and scored quite well =p) . Humm...now must really finish masters in a year...haha...dont know can or not =p

Went to NAFA to visit weibin for his recital before going to work....but realise that he is playing at a later time...so no choice, have to leave before he performs...so sorry .... moreover, me not going for the concert on fri since its a bit exp and also me promised to go for "the sound of music" for the time being....hehe not as "rich" as before =p

Went for a movie "A good company", quite a good show which portrays the reality of life. How times changes and many more. Although some of them say that its quite a slow show, i think its worth a watch ...anyway this time round, wont write much abt it....watch it yourself if u want to know.

Another happening day...(17-03)

Started off the day to try to find short cut for my work (hehe although my prof. yesterday advised me not to do so for my masters)....cos was feeling that some of the stuff was too time-consuming and there should be a better way =p... but was told later that i was not suppose to do those "short cut" since it might affect some of the program. Anyway, i tried my best and no regrets....anyway back to the tedious work =p....Doze off quite a few times....think i shouldnt have sleep so late...

Supervisor agrees to write testimonial for all of us =p. oh, also decided to go for the dinner by company tomorrow, but only one of my colleague going, the other decided not to go...haiz...thought of meeting weibin after my dinner and his concert since we are next door only =p

Went to uncle daniel's house for fellowship =p....long time didnt see him since i didnt go to ASE for quite some times....still the same cheerful old man....a faithful old man still persevering in his faith in Christ Jesus by God's grace.....its really an encouragement for us young people when we visit him and having a meal with him and chatting with him. Its really saddens me that some of his family members left him because of his belief. Although, he may be in his old age, really pray that may God have mercy on him that may his family comes back to him =p. Hehe anyway, he always has us as a bigger family in Christ Jesus =p. Had a good chat with daniel junior too =p...hhaha on our way back, talking abt issues of life =p

Another happening thing before the day ended. Just received an sms from weibin that he got 2 FREE tics for tomorrow concert and he is giving them to me to invite anyone....Anyone onzz....ask qiwen liao but he cant....humm...maybe tomorrow will ask around =p...give me a call if u see this before fri afternoon...first come first serve =p...Really thanks weibin for it..appreciated and i will go off from my dinner by 7.45pm and will not be late and will definitely be there =p. All the best for your performance tomorrow =p

Montag....

Woken up with a sneeze...oh no....not again...
Quite fun at work but quite sad too....cos today is the last day that we are collating for the past 2 weeks of sitting. ...will we be doing SC report tomorrow onwards?

A colleague from my workplace was so kind to invite us, temp staff, to join them for the "end of year dinner" this coming friday. One colleague quite sure not going; the other "see-how"; myself also "see-how", if they go, then i go lah...since no harm going =p...hehe free dinner somemore..haha...if not can also go for weibin's performance on fri at vch...humm but not sure $$.

Met a sec 4 ex-classmate...so embarrass, forgotten his name..but he remember mine...but i remember his CCA leh =p. ...haha now i know what is his name liao =p (Wei Xian)...haiz...memory failing me.

Before leaving for a run with SK and SG, sneeze quite badly. But still went, but reminded myself not to push myself too much if i cant take it. Hey....manage to complete 3 km plus, without sneezing...humm conclusion, must be the haze lah. But then hor, just now bathing, sneeze like nobody's business. So should i take my medicine again, since i not running tomorrow....humm maybe not, will sleep early today, and let my anti-bodies build up themselves...cannot rely on foreign troops...dont think the virus will allow diplomatic talk with them...so anti-bodies must 加油喔！！

Welcome to MacRitchie Reservoir.....

Wow...didnt know that MacRitchie reservoir is so nice..especially some part of it. Just manage to upload some of the pics that we took today...we walk more than 10km...now a bit leg pain =p....moreover, have quite a bad experience at the tree top bridge since i dont get use to heights as i am staying on 3rd floor. Moreover, with the people walking in steps, it makes the bridge resonate.....thats why must break step lah....but thanks to my friends there to encourage me...haha....but really a nice walk and we walk till 6pm plus and thus no time to go potong pasir....think will go next week(by myself liao) =p

Stop Religiosity

Heard a very good sermon by Edmund from Mark 2:18-3:6 God's answer to Religion. Hope that i will learn from God's Word and apply it in my life =p. Today's sermon by Pastor Sim was good too but think a bit short and he was fast over some point, think will have to study it again =p.

Hitch: Thinking Aloud

Came back from watching "Hitch". Quite a good show...funny???...ok lah =p. ...was sceptical about those "unethical" method that Will Smith uses for his clients to get the dates. However, he explained that he was merely creating opportunities for those guys who truly love the other parties. (that was the principle that he holds for his job =p)....thats also explains why he gave one guy a thrashing, when he wants Hitch to get him a date just for sex...(Hitch 的行为真是让人鼓舞。。。hehe at least for this =p)..."Albert": he tried to be himself (hehe....despite "Hitch" teaching all his method) and think that how he won the heart of "Allegra".

Humm...since on this topic...how should we "conduct" ourselves or look at BGR/marriage in a biblical sense =p.......humm...think the book by Tony Payne and Philip Jensen on "Guidance and the voice of God" put it in the biblical perspective. Think with a marriage which is built upon Christ as the foundation, can then one with the strength of God, fulfil such marriage vow ("... to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love land to cherish, till death do us part, or the Lord comes for His own, ..")...hehe what do u think? =p

Opps....just saw my tuition kid results for term 1, humm not really good leh...failed A maths and just passed E maths and i am tuitioning him these 2 subjects =(....humm maybe i will feel better if they dont pay me so much or dont pay me...hehe just teach for fun and sharing =p

A very potential kid who can grasp concept very fast but from our discussion is that, he forget very fast too....tried to share a few tips with him and also trying to encourage him to pick up from this "bad" results, trying to rebuilt foundation again. Teachers or tuition teachers out there...any method to share with me, or anyone who can help this guy better(and if the kid willing), i am willing to be taken over, Anyway we all work for the best for them =p....anyway will also try my very best to teach well too in the meantime and see how its goes. Of course, result is not everything, hope i will impart the correct values to the student too...hehe trying to play a part in educating singapore future generation =p.

Gotten a brochure from VCH about the event. Cheapest seat is $30 plus but quite far from stage. Most expensive about 150 plus. Humm...should be able to save from this month salary =p...haha this could be easily saved if i am still in my last profession =p
Saw a competition for the sound of music too. The prize: An all-expense paid trip to Austria. Cool man....humm...not sure if my colleague has participated since she likes singing so much =p

Meeting with ex-students

Happen to meet up with 2 of my ex-students after tuition...catch up with them regarding school work and their life. Got to know that quite a few of the students in their class only got 1 pass and 5 "U"s grade.....HEY...WHAT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to study hard hor, if not i will come back and haunt you =p.....SL also asked me some questions regarding christianity, hope he will take some time to read the bible and hopefully can come along to church with me, so that to understand better whether he really wants to commit to believe in Jesus. Cos i think he plunge into "believing" without knowing what he is really believing in. Humm...is it peer pressure....think its also good and responsible for christian to share the gospel clearly and faithfully to non-believer so that they will know what they are getting into. Its the work of the Holy Spirit to convict them to believe and we shouldnt have use those "muti-level marketing", "fanciful sales" stuff...=p

yesterday night, before sleeping, dont know why my bro suddenly brought up our childhood days. Really felt nostalgic... Recalled, how we fought, quarrelled, disturbed each other and of course shared the good things too lah. Got reminded by my bro that during my school days, i studied till very early in the morning (超 hardworking sia =p) using a table lamp (sometimes had to use blanket to block the light as i was studying in the same bedroom where my siblings were sleeping). ...humm...dont understand how come last time i could be so disciplined...a thought came to me..."actually how many hours did i sleep over those years"...(no choice)...since my ECA was heavy, with so many tests, no tuition and on top of that, i like to study =p...think the lack of sleep was worth it...=p
Before i slept last night, i was recalling of those past....sometimes, really hope i can go back to those time again and never grow up =p. I also realised how much i love and care for my family especially when i was alone in Germany; everyday would just log on to icq to chat with my sis to update me on how they were getting on.
Haiz, (when at home/singapore) , just take them for granted...humm...what can i say: 生在福中不知福。... the sin of human.

As the only christian in the family, really hope and pray that the LORD will have mercy on them and that they may come to know and accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour. Hope that i will do my part too =p.

Cell group

Today BS was on Matthew 11:20-24....but seems like we moved on to many different questions....initially i was quite sceptical about those questions being asked. I thought those were not essential which in my limited knowledge; i was thinking since it is not inside the bible, why should we try to answer it. Maybe we can ask those questions when we see God face to face...heheh.... However, after giving it some thoughts, i thought those questions were interesting and maybe someone (SK or any other) can enlighten me on this. The question is something like this: In the OT, 1) what happen to those who didnt get to hear the Word of God, or that are not Israelite, were they be saved? Is there a possiblities that gentiles actually heard the Word of God from other Israelites which are not recorded in the bible (unlike Ruth which is recorded)?

With my "V power" fuel, manage to accelerate and catch up with my nose yesterday =p. But it also caused me to be very tired for the whole day. Too drowsy to work...hehe dozed off quite a few times, too tired to run, too tired to go out with my ex-student to play pool...(humm anyway i dont really like pool)..but really hope to meet up with him soon since he is going back to taiwan for good. Its a pity that he didnt do well for his 'O', but he has a potential to excel.
Oh..too tired to blog yesterday too...slept early..but still glad to have my nose back.

Haiz, having running nose and sneezing the whole day. Just took a medicine, the usual chlorpheniramine...should be sleeping soon. Hope in my sleep, i can catch my nose soon.

These truths screamed, but when one is at the end of the road (at wits end), it may be so easily for us to forget these. As a friend or a brother-in-Christ or a family member, will i be there for you when you are at such plight? Or will my friends or my siblings-in-Christ or my family members be there for me when i am at wits end?...hehe at least i know that Jesus will always be there for me, but will this truth sinks in me? Pray that by God's grace, it will be so. May i know Him more and more each day. May the Lord be merciful and comfort the family of the recent tragedy that happened in Tampines.

Back to NUS

Went back to nus after work to discuss some simulation stuff with the phd student as i will need his advice to start on my project. Had my dinner with one of my friends in PGP. The night of nus reminds me of the love and hate feeling toward the school. Recalling those days when my classmates and I had to stay in school overnight for many nights just to complete projects. It was fun as we "suffered" together and when things worked, especially our final year project...testing IC engine in the middle of the night. But at the same time, i also hated those nights when i stayed back in schoool. Trying to rush so that can submit the next day. Don't know how my heart manage to take such exciting moment. Thank God for the strong heart, if not already died of heart failure..=p humm i better dont make the same mistake again for my masters by not doing things at the last minute. Going back home soon...so thought of blogging in first as the time i reach home, it might be too late.

Work

Work is as interesting as before. But today seems like making a lot of mistakes...hehe last night slept too late. Felt very tired. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better =p

1) Didnt know that people can just twist and turn the bible verses so out of context just to suit what they want to say. Now managed to understand the fustration that some of you faced. I think those are the things that the itching ears want to hear, instead of the bible-centred, Christ-centered, hard teaching of Jesus =p

2) Was watching 综艺最爱宪 just now, and was laughing at all the tricks that they played on someone else. However, a thought came to me that what they are doing is actually "inhumane". Trying to make fun of people and make use of people to do stupid and degrading things just because of their looks. I really wonder how do they feel about it even though on TV they seem so cheerful. At the end of the day, the producer of such show hope that the audience will laugh and continue to support such "stupid" show...are we trying to 建造我们的快乐在别人的痛苦上。I wonder what msg we are sending to the audience esp to those young ones: that those who dont look good can be subjected to such a degrading treatment? Infrared Experiment

(left: infrared when seen by a digital camera. right: when the infrared is not switch on)

Infrared cannot be seen by human eyes, but read from a website that a normal digi cam can be able to capture infrared wavelength which are very close to red light. So i did an experiment with my digi cam...wao lah...here its is...proven. That might explain why sometimes your digi cam capture something ("ghostly stuff") which u didnt see in person especially at night =p.

Tuition

Started off my morning with tuition..before that, met my student to pass her the survey forms..has to make it earlier as i am helping mr poh with the BB AQ training as safety vehicle driver. Wow both lifts at my student's block under upgrading till june. Oh no, have to climbed 8 storey of stair every week....humm maybe good training. Think today i talk too much again, not sure he understand or not...Seems like but hope he can do well for the coming A maths test. Haha also got my salary for tuition =p

BB AQ Training

rushed down to AHS to help out with the AQ training. Really thanks Yim Wai and his bro for lending us the car, new car ok. Me met a senior BB boy, zhengxiang, and went down to check on the boys. Wow, realise the toyota engine is better than the hyundai one. So powerful.
Something happened to us when we parked outside the "for honor, for glory" camp. A man with a badge of a flying dagger came towards our car, i knew something is wrong. He spoke to me quite sternly "why are u here? So u know here is the ...... camp and if u dont leave now, i call the police" Please lah, even so, can speak a bit politely rite =( Anyway, just apologise to them and get my ass off that place with the powerful toyota engine.

Thought the expedition will end around 6 and can go to weibin concert on time. But one of the group very slow leh, so far behind cos one guy got abrasion and blisters....so we waited till very long before going back and decided to fetch him back to school. Wow, the expedition end at 7.....siao liao, going to be very late for concert.

Concert

Quickly rush down to NAFA and my other friends cant pass me the tickets as the concert is still on. Saw the schedule and webin's concert is the 3rd item. So there might be a chance that i can still see him perform after the interval. So suay, the interval is after his concert and i missed it. So sorry weibin. Still managed to watch the last item. But me slept 2 out of the 4 movements of the concert. Think i so tired.

Later, went for dinner and have a good chat. Was reflecting on our secondary school days and how we had met and thank God for that. Without you guys, i wouldnt be who i am now...(i mean in the positive sides =p)

Just reach home not long ago...although tired but was fun, really miss our army times when we have so much time to sit outside VCH under the feet of "Sir Stamford Raffles" to chat.

Friday

Managed to finished the work for the week before leaving office =p....came quite early on fri for work. Took some pics along city hall before going to work. After work, went to Raffles Place to take some pics and also went to the Mercs display. Humm....not really impressive though, only a few types of Mercs there...maybe once i finished dl the pics then will ul to let u all see.

Getting the hang of my new job scope with the help of colleagues and friends =p..and we manage to did the first collation ourselves.

天有不测之风云，how true. Was walking back to PH from lunch and its was drizzling, out of sudden, a flash of lightning zipped across the sky and it pours....=(...so just have to run back to office. Quite drenched. Now, as I was typing, feel that my head is heavy, humm maybe its not the rain but cos last night slept very late as i was reading my masters stuff till quite late.

Trying to do my last assignment before i knocked off, but didnt finish. humm, maybe tomorrow will go extra early to finish that =p...hopefully can finish charging my batt for camera so that tomorrow can take pics =p

阴天。

早上起来时，凉凉的。乌云密布，下着绵绵细雨，给人一种很舒适的感觉。虽然如此，一丝丝的伤感却渐渐地涌到心头上。想不到天气也能间接地影响到心情。（这也难怪英国人一年四季都那么的惆怅 =p) 能够再次遇见这位“故友”，何乐不为，也让我珍惜身旁的一切。

工作还是跟往日一样。感谢主赐给我这么友善的同事及朋友，在繁忙的工作中带给我欢乐。

在国会里，我逐渐地开始佩服一位“女中豪杰”（有机会再详细说明）

Too lazy to think of a title

Was quite busy today but rather enjoyable since was doing quite a new stuff and enjoyed reading some of the reports.

Oops, cracked my security pass today...shouldnt have put it in my pocket. Should have learnt from the past, as this happened to my debit card. Lesson learnt: Never put cards in pockets....=p

Was trying to help a student to fill up some survey for her job. A big thank you for all the friends out there who offered to help without hesitation despite knowing the "consequences". Owe all of you a coffee bean voucher, pls claim from me once i get it from my student. This is the last time i going to do the survey for my student, cos if not i am the one doing the job =p...hehe hope you understand hor. Anyway help will be offered as long as i think its necessary =p.

Went for a run and bump into weibin. He is really busy with his studies in NAFA and all the concert. Have a nice chat and updates from him. A lot of performances coming up for him and hope he is enjoying every bit of it. Some of us will be going down to his concert on sat.

Haiz, reached home too late to watch “皆大欢喜”, miss quite a lot of episodes liao, luckily still have not end yet, cos a lot of channel U shows are ending this week. Wow, finally the super long episodes of “霹雳火”has come to an end. A happy ending though...humm maybe i should say, depends on whose perspective you are looking at. Humm, i shouldnt have spent so much time on watching TV since evening is the only slot that i have to start on my masters project =p

JC or Poly

Was quite worried yesterday when my bro didnt call me when he received his O level results. Thought he didnt do well so didnt call me. Was afraid to call home to ask too, just in case he had not reach home and make my parents worried for nothing.

Finally managed to call home at around 6 plus and my bro picked up and knew that he passed his exams. Although results were not that fantastic, think that is the results he deserved, since he didnt put in effort in studies. Smart guy but very playful. He kept asking me whether he should go JC or poly. I insist that he better attend the later. Cos i think he just too active and cant sit still to study. He keeps telling me that he wanted to join SRJC and hope to be a scholar....humm...good ambition, hope he can work towards it. Of course, what can i do now, but to give him my fullest support and hope he will be more discipline in doing his studies. All the best =p

Went to watch this movie with Qiwen. Quite a nice show. Very nice drawing of the nature of the European countries, nice songs, 令你心旷神怡。If you allowed me to choose between "Spirited Away" and this show, i think i will still prefer the former, cos i think the story is richer in meaning =p. Anyway, still a good show to watch =p

Back to PRCS....SWARMED

Went for lunch with my colleagues before going back to PRCS. Realise its good to listen to ladies talk as in what they talk during lunch...quite interesting though...cos most of the time if not 99.99%, normally its meeting up with guys and so u can expect the things we talk...haha...not that its not interesting...i do enjoy too...at the end its the fellowship thats count right =p

On my way to PRCS, getting a bit worried how my brother and my students did for their O level. Also wonder whether my students still remember me =(...maybe i am just attention seeking..hoping that they still remember me. If they forget me how.....will i be embarrassed and feel disappointed???

As i approached the school, i became more nervous, but then i realised i am back to see my students and to be with them, why should i be concerned how they will received me. Thank God for His strength to lead me through. When at the school gate, was warmly greeted by the school guard michael =p. Saw some ex Sec 4 students and chat with some since i only teach a small grp of Sec 4 last year. Managed to chat with a few colleauges too =p. When the Sec 4 went up to school hall for briefing, i went around the school to see if can meet my ex students from sec 1 to 3. But they are having Common Test. Was trying to loiter around to see any familar faces. As i passed by the corridor, saw a few hands waving at me. Wow, still got students greeted me.

When they finished their test, a small group of the students came out and chatted with me. Before I realised, suddenly the whole corridor was filled with students and was jammed with my ex sec 1 to sec 3 students. They were calling me and waving at me, some took initiative to come over and chat and shake hand with me and some trying to be funny one...those few lah...ran over and hugged me and some started to tickle me. Although its was rowdy with so many students crowding around, i didnt bother to do anything to reduce the commotion. Haiz..... I just want to feel important, and wants all the attention. Shiliang, quite disappointed that you have such an intention. Nevertheless, i am very very very ...grateful and thankful seeing so many of my students still remembering me and receiving me so warmly. Father, Lord, I thank you for giving me such joy by bringing these students into my life. I would cry with joy if i took the time to "digest" such warm reception. I am really lost of words to say anything upon reflection, except to encourage them that my heart will fill with joy when i know that they grows to be people of good characters and knowledge. Mr Oi will always "try "(cos i getting senile =p) to remember all of you too......oh before i forget; i am truly sorry to those i had neglected and didnt get a chance to talk due to my selfish desires. I hope in the near future, can meet up with you all and have a chat with you. Thanks PRCS, you made my day =p

I was glad that most of the Sec 4 are satisfied with their results even though some did not do well as expected. Although some of you have failed some subjects, (worse still, those i had helped but still didnt make it; i am sorry about that), i am deeply comforted by the fact that most of you(both passed or failed) have matured after the exams, taking responsibilites of the outcome of your own actions. Nevertheless, whatever results you all had received, its time for you all reflect and move on. Treasure your present and work towards your future.

Finally, managed to go to the staff room and chat with my friends. Really have a fun time chatting with you all =p. Really treasure the days while i was in PRCS and the help rendered to me and the hands that lift me up when i fall =p. Thank God for all these. Humm, sometimes, i ask myself, why do i still leave teaching? But i really felt that i was drowning with work and if i dont leave soon, i will lose myself in no time. Maybe i was not mentally prepared and not disciplined enough to discharde my duties. But still thank God for leading me through the wonderful year of 2004. May all glories be unto You.

Finally, make a decision to attend service in ARPC....but still have to deal with the issue of going to ASE or ARPC. Almost cant wake up for service this morning cos was online till 3 am in the morning...luckily a studnt called me to ask me something and hurried and managed to meet SK and gang to go down for service.

Very good sermon by Chris, manage to understand the purpose of miracles in the gospel of Mark or even miracles in general in the Bible. They are signpost to a greater reality that Jesus is the Messiah. Chris also through the gospel of Mark in Chapter 4-5 explained about the response of the people who believe in Christ Jesus. By God's grace and strength, i hope that i will live a life that truly reflect i am committed to Christ.

Managed to get a book "Guidance and the Voice of God" by Phillip Jensen and Tony Payne. Its a good book which i have read before and now finally possessed it. Hope to lend it to my colleauge since people sometimes asked: what is God's will for me in my job, Is this job from God? This book provide a very good explanation in the light of God's Word. It liberates us from thinking that God is our "vending machine" or lossing our sleep and being paraniod whether is this job from God. A very good book to read.....=p...highly recommended...at the end of the day, no matter where we are, what job we are in, as long as it doesnt compromise God's righteousness and affect our daily walk with the Lord, we can always honor Him in the workplace we are in =p

Met up with Mr Poh and Dapeng and gang after service. Will be helping out with the BB next week...hehe looking forwards..since i like meeting up with youngsters, even more after teaching =p...and also outdoors activites =p but then that would means that i would have to change my tuition timing.

Thank God that my sup allows me to take half day leave again so that i can go back to PRCS to see how the students fared, even though its a last minute request =p. Wishing my brother and my students all the best for their results...of course all others too =p

Managed to complete 4km today...a milestone.

Looking forward to tomorrow work, although its just half day, using a new software for editing and can read the budget debate =p

Opps before i forgot, i better do some reading up for my masters, think maybe tonight dont sleep since tomorrow only half day =p.

Raining Sat

humm dont know what title to write....finally it rain this late afternoon...=p..Thank God but also at the same time cant go running today...humm tomorrow must go

Same mundane sat...went to give tuition, and hope this time round i dont overload the student and hopefully he managed to understand. After that, manage to go to the lib and borrow some chinese books (武侠小说), must improve on my chinese...=p..think everything know a bit but master of none....sometimes can even mix english with chinese, german, japanese, malay and hokkien...haiz....better spent some time concentrating on some of them.

A student ask me about going to church and some issue about christianity....i have a hard time answering the questions and dont know where to start....think i dont know well enough to teach....but at the same time, i think head knowledge is one thing but putting it into practice is another....hopefully by the grace of God, i will continue to glorify God with what i do, even in everyday mundane issue..which i have not been a good testimony for Him.

Me still wondering whether to stay in ASE or not..haiz...think i better make a decision soon....what stopping me???? Haiz......sometimes just being too 'fickle' minded on certain issue, but some issues i can make decision like the ARMOUR motto...haha (swift and decisive lah). But if i still sit on the fence on this issue, think sooner or later i will fall liao and shatter into pieces. I can understand the difficult decision that Sern Khoon, Barney and Chin Cher and even others who have made the tough decision. Shall i look to "these man of faith who has walked through this path"....haha (oops...have i misquote something in the bible =p)...still pondering..

星期五

为了响应圣坤的号召，我决定每星期至少用一次华文来写日记（blog）. 身为新加坡的一份子，我也必须挑起提倡运用华语的重担。除此之外，为了避免傅老师的评语：“我走 along，以前还是圣公会的学生。。。”（哈哈。。。），所以得加把劲，希望不出数月，能恢复十几年前我华文程度。

星期五，我拿了半天假，本想回励志中学去查寻我以前学生的 'O' 水准成绩，然后再回国大去见我的教授，接下来，再跟一些旧同学叙叙旧。看来是一个很忙的一个下午。但很感谢得是，我弄错了'O' 水准成绩的日期，再加上我的教授有事在身，所以一个下午只需跟旧同学叙旧。谁也没想到我们的午餐只吃冰淇淋，但我们也很愉快地谈了一个下午。但愿我们还能在国大见面，也希望其中一位同学的母亲能早日康复。

跟着便到一位朋友的家去研究功课。这也是为什么我今晚没有去 PAF 的原因。虽然，我不是很了解这一科目，但我朋友还是很乐意地找我。从此之中，我也学习了不少，也了解了其中的奥秘。真是所谓的：“施比受，更有福”。我也很希望我这位朋友能考到好成绩。加油喔！

虽然今天过得很丰富，但也有一些伤感之处（可以说是自找的 =（）。在这也不便多说。。。。。

终于成功地运用华语来写这一篇日记。。。。虽然披荆斩棘，但还是写完了。。。。姜博士，行吗？

Timing for 2.4km got better, but still got room for improvement.

Tomorrow on half day leave, thought of going back to see my students 'O' level results, meeting with my supervisor and meeting my friends....seems like very pack....but thank God, now only need to meet up with my friends as 'O' level result will only be out on monday (all the best for those taking exams last year) and my supervisor is having something on.

华文程度每况愈下

Think my chinese knowledge is getting from back to worse. Last time chinese very pro, think now if i meet my chinese teacher, i am too ashamed to face them. Thinking of it, last time still studied Higher Chinese and Chinese Lit, haiz...now even mix up 元宵节, with 七夕... think its more than 10 years that I wrote in chinese...i wll write the following in chinese:

跟耀荣到“春到河畔”。虽然未能感觉到新年的气氛，但还是过了一个十分充实的傍晚。回家的路途，跟耀荣谈起一些基督教的事，希望他能继续的搜寻，也能逐渐地了解这位创造宇宙，圣洁公正，仁慈博爱的真神。但愿我也能靠着主耶稣的恩典来继续坚持地走这条信徒的道路。

真得无法想象新加坡下一代的华文水平，也真得无法想象我失去这个语言的那一天。看来我得加把劲，不能荒废这么多年的华文教育及华人博大精深的文化。

Teach to Learn

After work, manage to go to my friend's place and tried to "teach" him feedback control. Wow, although forgotten most of it and was not doing well during my uni, but after reading a bit and discussing and teaching him, wow, managed to understand it better now. Think have reach another level....

Tips for those who want to do well: Teach others so that you will learn too....the moral of the story is the more you give, the more you gain too =p...haha i hope

This group of good friends of over a decade meeting up for our yearly reunion dinner at Thai Lemon Grass Restaurant. Although its a bit expensive.....my vision: one day can have it at Ritz-Carlton Hotel...haha see who give the treat.

Meeting with the House in Parliament

Its the first time that I see the singapore leaders in person. Cool man, all look so tall to me and i am dwarf by them, humm, maybe dwarf by their status, i should say. Its my first time going for parliament sitting to watch in the public gallery. Saw the proccession and the 'culture' in the parliament and you choose to see what you want to see instead of seeing what the cameraman wants u to see when u watch it on TV. Really fun and exciting, but I fell zzzzzzzzzzzzz too. =p Hope at least all singaporean will take then chance to go and tour the place and at least listening to 1 sitting since it is open to public. Humm, maybe the next one i should go is to attend a court hearing; always wanted to sit in and hear.

Martin Luther

We are watching the documentary on Martin Lurther for PAF this evening...quite a nice show though. However, frankly speaking i am quite hesistant to draw lesson from this show even if it has. I mean biblical lesson. Of course, no matter what, lesson can be drawn from anywhere, but i just scared...scared of what?..biblical??..i dont know....someone can enlighten me.

Wisdom??

Why am i keep making the wrong decision? Or was God fooling me? Or neither both? Thats something i was pondering when i was offered an internship which i wanted so badly months ago. It came to me only after i got a temp job. The same thing happen to me last year too. I was happy, excited, fustrated and disappointed at first. But thank God that he provided me with someone to share and talk aloud my thoughts. I have to thank God for everything even though i might not get a chance again to do the internship if i dont do it now as i am deeply compelled to honour my promise to work till april for my temp job. I think i am one such person, who once agree to something, will stick to it all the way. Am i stupid, sometimes i ask myself? Cos i miss quite a few good opportunities since then...haiz...but i still thank God for it, for leading me through and the things He has given to me.
Sometimes, i tried to ask, what is God's will for me? However, i will try to counter that thought, by thinking whatever it happens, God allows and has given it to me anyway, its a gift and why not thank Him for that and use whatever He has given to honour Him. Though struggle though and need wisdom....haha i think i know what some of you might say.

Thank God, after taking "steriods", finally managed to catch up with my nose. Getting better today liao, time for me to go for my training again =p. Getting the hang of my work and trying to organise the 'reunion' dinner for my 'deadgang' friends. Hope to see them and catch up with them this Sat.

Managed to go for run with Sern Khoon today and do some workout. Think need more training =p

Hope to do some reading up on my project later, but also remember to study God's word too =p

Valentine day??

humm, nothing very unusual today, although its valentine day today. Just like a normal day. But something new happen. Haha, not that i got a girlfriend but my first day at work lah =p

First Day @ Work

Quite fun and thank God that I was not late for work. Have to be discipline to wake up early. Don't like the feeling of rushing. Really having fun working in my first day of work. Got to understand singapore history better. Very interesting job and nice colleauges =p
Managed to learn quite a few things too: tried to test you all some history, maybe its just me who dont know but i learnt it today. Which place was known as Ceylon in the past?

was advised by my friend that my blog has too much "...." and its hard to understand my blog. I must try to correct all my sentences once i have the free time =p...so just bear with my broken english now =p

Went back to see my supervisor for my project. Quite confused with our discussion though...hehe maybe i am a slow learn ...but steady one =p.....but glad that he patiently explain to me....time for me to change mindset of certain issues too.

Went to meet my ex-students...have a good chat with them although it was a short one. Thanks Seng Loong for bringing gifts from his malaysia trip...really appreciated...but you shouldnt have done so..........
Went for tuition, think i shouldn't have talk so much in tuition..should let my student do the thinking more often....
Finally managed to go for my first ARPC services in Adam Road for this year 2005.

Sun

Went for a swim after service in ASE. Meet up with Chin Cher and DaPeng and have a good talk..cool....learn a lot from the chat....hehe hope someone can put the ideas into reality....but pray that even so, we will not idolise it.
After that..straight away went for run. Siong day

Finally finished typing my updates and preparing for my temp job tomorrow....wish me the best =p
